1. explain to them that what they did has consequences in a calm way 2. LISTEN TO WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. even though you know they are in the wrong, still listen to how they felt or feel. just because they messed up doesnt mean their feelings are invalid. they are people too.   3. after they understand what they did was wrong, reassure them that you still care and that even though they messed up its okay and that you forgive them. 4. dont use that instance or any past wrong doing they have done as ammunition when in a fight at a later date unless it actually pertains to said fight. 5. don’t purposely hurt them with words that you know will sting, even if they hurt you first. making the other person feel like shit too isnt gonna help you in any way, unless having your friend in pain makes your sadistic self feel better.
