But the amazing @drawingoblin graciously allowed me to commission my favorite Christmas present from myself to myself: a picture of me kissing bugs.

Isn't it glorious? The bug in question is Entylia carinata, the Camelback Treehopper, and she got me through eight years of PhD and Postdoc. My only regret, ever, was that they're actually sooooooo tiny, and while I could let them crawl on my hands and stuff, I couldn't cuddle them or kiss them. Drawingoblin has let me imagine a different world-- a better world.

Best of all, drawingoblin paid very close attention to the actual anatomy and shape of the bug, even while making it cartoony. Cartoons of bugs that are obviously anatomically incorrect drive me crazy. This is perfect.
You should commission art from them!!! They're real good at drawing cute BUT ACCURATE bugs!

You are welcome to submit a full portfolio, but you will be asked to feature two pieces.
We will ask you to have either a card preference or a suit preference when you apply (MAX 1 MAJOR ARCANA).

Ideally, one sample of a similar product to what you would like to pitch, but this is not a requirement.
We may be asking one of our Merch Artists to design the Card Backs, and another to design the Interpretation Book Cover. Please indicate your interest in these roles in your application.
