READ THIS BEFORE CONTINUING: I am a wings of fire artist who likes ninjago and doing fan art. Since I cant draw humans for the life of me (much less legos), I turned the main six ninja into wings of fire dragons. On top of that, I saw these really cool videos about wings of fire as dnd by Cyprus on YouTube, so I wanted to do that with my ninjago as wings of fire universe. So this is a dnd ninjago as wof post (if that makes sense) so for this to make sense, you should be familiar with wings of fire and ninjago (though hypothetically this post would make sense without ninjago knowledge, but it is recommended). Also, please do not mock me for my writing, I draw more than I write đ. Also, this is not set in the wings of fire universe, but the dragons are wings of fire inspired (if that makes sense). Kai is a Barbarian. Barbarians are strong fighters who usually don't rely on armour; instead they rely on their raw strength which becomes stronger with the more fury they produce. Kai travels with his little sister, Nya. Their dad was an amazing Artificer known as Ray, and their mom was a master Monk named Maya, her fighting skills unrivaled across the lands. When Kai was eight and Nya was six, their parents mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Since, Kai has taken care of his sister, and he would risk his life for her. For a few years they stayed in their tiny village, running their dadâs blacksmith shop. They didnât make much money, mostly because Kaiâs blacksmith skills wereâŚquestionable at best. But, even though none of them would admit it, they always wondered what had happened to their parents all those moons ago. At least, that was until their wondering became a motive. Neither of them particularly remember how they came to the decision, but when Kai was thirteen, they armed themselves and started their travels. They were now a duo of dragons who moved from city to city, asking around for a lost Skywing named Ray and a Seawing named Maya. Of course they get into a few tussles here and there, having the scars to prove it, but Kai enjoys the thrill of their new life.
Nya is a monk. She prefers to not have to over rely on weapons and uses her own skills to attack or dodge. Despite the over protectiveness from her brother since the disappearance of their parents, Nya loves Kai with all her heart and would always have his back (which as much as he hated to admit it, he needs her behind him). Their little group, even though they travel to find their lost family members, wonât hesitate to stop if they find dragons in need of assistance. They go by the name The Blazing Oceaners, why? Well, my dear reader, the answer is quite simple, they could not agree on any other name, mostly due to the fact that Kai insisted that they had the word explosion in their name. After much back and forth during the first few weeks of their journey, they had finally agreed on the name, Kai was reluctant to have any word linking to water due to his severe case of aquaphobia yet, Nya enjoyed it just to spite him. One day, a year after they started their journey, when traveling through a pretty shady part of a major city, they were ambushed by a gang known as The Skeletons.

Jay is an Artificer. His skills focus in tinkering and using magic to achieve great feats with items and inventions. Heâs still studying, definitely not the greatest of all time but he has achieved way more compared to others his age. He always thrills for an adventure, but whenever heâs about to head out and try to make friends so one day he can start a journey with a group, he gets distracted and pulls an all nighter finishing all of the objects in his WIP pile, then he ends up sleeping all of the next day because he was running on zero hours of sleep. When he wakes up, he would totally forget what he was doing before his all nighter, mostly because his memory can only stretch as far as what he had for breakfast that morning (assuming that he didnât end up working through breakfast only to finally eat something eight hours later, it happens more often than heâd like to admit). One day when testing an invention, which was trying to harness wind energy into a pair of makeshift wings that could be used for dragons who lack the ability to fly, he mightâve crashed into another dragon when he had realized he brought the wrong prototype with him, and being the totally safe and sane dragon he is, he had restrained his wing so he wouldnât have the natural reflex to fly, and he brought with him absolutely no fail safe (in hindsight, he totally shouldâve brought a parachuteâŚwhoops). After apologizing profusely, he learned that the dragon had crashed into was a Mudwing named Cole.
Cole is a fighter, skilled at nearly all fighting techniques and weapons. That is something heâd prefer his father does not know about him. His fatherâs side of the family is a line of famous bards, dragons who use music as their magic and to aid others. Cole never enjoyed the idea of sitting on the sidelines and playing support. He wanted to be at the action, he wanted to be strong, strong enough to protect those he cares about. But, strength canât save everyone, thatâs what Cole learned when he was nine. After his mother passed away, his dad, Lou, had grownâŚignorant. Not rude necessarily, but he barely had any interactions with his son, his time consumed with his group of bards. Cole didnât particularly hate it, but he most certainly did not like it. The thing that made Cole leave was when his dad applied him to a boarding school for striving bards. So, the night he was meant to leave, he ran away, leaving a note saying that he had left for the school a few hours early, in reality, he was running away, he did not want to spend who knows how many years studying a class he had no passion in. He flew a few days to a neighboring city. There, he tried to decide what he would do next. On his third day in the city, Cole was on a rooftop minding his own business until some idiot of a dragon ended up toppling on top of him, apparently testing an invention. Cole learned that the dragon was a Rainwing artificer named Jay. Somehow, they ended up talking, Cole told Jay his story, and Jay told Cole about his taste for adventure. Cole was a year older than Jay. Jay invited Cole to live with him, and maybe they could get to know each other better. Cole, after giving it some thought, agreed. Besides, Cole had nowhere to go, and according to Jay, Jay needed a friend because âhe has procrastinated on friend making for the last nine months,â note, he thought about making friends nine months ago. Over the next two years, they grew close as friends (I know what you bruise shippers are thinking right now). One day, they decided itâs high time they started a journey, to where, they have no idea, but they wanted to see what the world would throw at them. Throughout the next four years, Cole learned fighting skills, and Jay grew in crafting (learning a fighting trick here and there as well). After some discussion, they decided to call themselves the Traveling TerraBolts, since they wouldnât stay in a city any longer than a few weeks. Cole, fifteen, and Jay, fourteen, were exploring a city, trying to find a part Jay required for a new invention he was planning. Out of the alley close to the shop they were talking to, a dragon stumbled out, injured and dazed. It was a skywing barbarian named Kai who was ambushed, along with his sister, but his sister was nowhere to be found.

Lloyd is a paladin, a warrior with immense power who swears a sacred oath to a higher being. In Lloydâs case, he swore an oath before his grandfather, one of the most powerful celestial beings in the realm, sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Now, that responsibility was passed onto LloydâŚwhether he liked it or not. Look, Lloyd was all for protecting others, and he wanted to continue his familyâs legacy of protection, but he was only seven when he swore his oaths. For as long as he could remember, Lloyd was trained in many fighting styles and weapons. Lloyd lost track of how many times he ended up going days at a time without any sleep because he got distracted studying the ways of paladins, other classes, culture, history, etc. That might answer why he struggles to sleep many nights, or his semi permanent eye bags. But, another thing that made his role moreâŚbittersweet, was the fact that he had to somehow outlive the fact that he was the son of a traitor, a failure. Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon (yes, yes, very ironic), a fallen paladin, an oath breaker. Garmadon failed the legacy his own father left behind, he grew power hungry as the years went by, until he did the unthinkable. He broke his oath, he attempted to steal the weapons his father used to create the land, the weapons that the family has been entrusted to protect, he wanted to use them so he could rule the land with an iron fist. That left Lloydâs uncle, Wu, no choice but to banish his own brother to the Underworld, a dark, evil infested place, made to punish damned souls. That happened when Lloyd was three, he saw with his own eyes, his father banished by his uncle. His mom, the next day left, without a word, without saying goodbye. So for most of his life, Lloyd was raised by his uncle. Inside, Lloyd was an emotional mess, he loved his uncle, but he was bitter about the abandonment of his mother and father, but for most of his life, heâs had this creeping fear that he might end up like his father, a fallen paladin, made to suffer for eternity. But, something Lloyd learned early on was that his emotions could never get in the way of his role as the sacred protector. One day, when Lloyd was nine, he was traveling to a nearby village to get supplies for his uncle, he was ambushed by a mysterious group, and not long after, he stumbled upon an icewing dragon named Zane.
Zane is a warlock, a being whose magic comes from a patron. Zane couldnât remember anything beyond a few years, where he woke up in a strange place without any memories. He didnât know where his family was, much less if he even had a family, but over the years, Zane created a life for himself. He found a community in a small town, and during the days, he worked as a cook, and at night he would consume himself into books, studying magic, hoping one day he could become a wizard, or at least some sort of spell caster. One day, he was flying back to his tiny apartment after checking out books from the local library, he spotted a young paladin, most certainly a lot younger than Zane, injured and lost, trying to find a way into the city. It looked like he hadnât slept or eaten anything in days. Zane decided he would take the dragon in and get help for him. The paladin, reluctant, agreed to get help, but Zane could tell that despite his condition, he would be ready to fight Zane if he tried anything. Zane knew a good healer, who treated the paladin well, and gave Zane some healing potions since the guest wasnât fully healed yet, and he clearly wanted to get back on the road. Zane learned the paladinâs name was Lloyd, but he couldnât get much out of him, he kept his past shrouded in mystery when talking to Zane. Lloyd seemed to have an interest in Zane though, especially at Zaneâs minor spell casting. Eventually, after a few days since Zane found Lloyd, Lloyd needed to head back home, but he then did something Zane never expected, Lloyd invited Zane with him, claiming that he knew someone who would take an interest in Zaneâs abilities. Zane, intrigued, agreed, wanting to see what this strange dragon had to offer. Zane traveled with Lloyd to the monastery where Lloyd lived with his uncle. Lloydâs uncle wasâŚinteresting. He definitely had great power, Zane knew that much, but a lot like his nephew, he was also shrouded in mystery. Lloydâs uncle, Wu, offered Zane power as a warlock, Wu would give Zane power, but also assist him with his studies as a wizard. The offer was that Wu would give Zane powers so Zane would start as a warlock, but Zane will continue his studies in wizardry, so one day he can naturally do magic. In return, Zane would join Lloyd in his duties. Over the next three years, they did many quests together, over those years, they have grown close. Zane, who knows how old, and Lloyd, fifteen (they hadâŚan incidentâŚwith Tomorrowâs Tea where Lloyd aged up by three years), run into aâŚquite interesting group to say the least.
