blade often invades dan heng's dreams to get an idea of his whereabouts and scare him. when he perfects this ability, he's able to see deeper within dan heng's mind going as far as his memories.

that's how blade finds out he used to be his crush.

when they finally meet face to face, blade lets himself get pinned just so he can catch dan heng off guard:

'well? aren't you the one who wanted to steal a kiss from me?'

his guard drops, blade escapes.
