So, you’re telling me that if you make a sequel or adaptation of something already has a pretty big pre-existing fanbase, and actually stick close to the elements which made the original source material so beloved, give a shit about the material you’re adapting, give loving shout-outs to the original or any predecessor which before your own adaptation/sequel, and don’t insult or mock half of the original pre-existing fanbase, there’s a good chance that *GASPS* you’ll please both the original fans as well as any potential new ones, thus getting more people interested in the franchise instead of driving them away?!
