Hello all! This post is to announce that the DPI Community Website is being moved to dpi.enjin.com! Please use that website from now! Head over there and take a look and please register! The site is still mostly being worked on, but that basic information is there!

Again, this website will be discontinued. Please use dpi.enjin.com instead.

As some of you may know, the Minecraft 1.8 update is just a few days away! As with any major update, there is a delay between the time Minecraft 1.8 comes out and when the server is updated. I am sure we are all excited for this new update as it contains many interesting and fun changes. However, our server runs CraftBukkit and it takes time for the Bukkit Team to release a stable recommended build for the newest update.

The server rules are going to be rewritten within the next couple of days so please keep that in mind and check the website or Facebook page for updates.

New players are still welcome to join our server at dpi.dre.am! We are always looking for new active members!

It took me a couple months but I have finally finished rewriting our new plugin for tracking the online time of our players, called iPlayed! To check your playtime, type /played in game. The time only updates when you logout.

I just finished developing iPlayed a couple hours ago. While I have done testing on it in my local server, it is inevitable that there are bugs. Please do report any problems and also be patient with me as I fix these problems.

This is a note to old players who are missing their playtimes. When you see me online, ask me to update your time. I am only going to fix your playtime if you ask and if you had more than 30 minutes lost. The old playtime files are extremely bugged and it takes a lot of work for me to calculate the old time from them. If you have a rough idea of how many hours you are missing, that will make my life much easier.

The new moderator has finally been chosen. Supermods and Admins reviewed all the applications carefully and voted. We decided to choose one moderator due to administrative reasons.

The new moderator is: Bohamanon. Congratulations!

In total, there were 11 applicants who applied for the moderator position. We would like to thank everyone who applied. It was a tough decision as it took a while to discuss with all the admins. 

If you were curious, here are top 3 vote ranking for the moderator position. Every Admin and Super Moderator received 3 weighted votes.

With the recent incident of a massive amount of TNT crashing a server, I thought I would make a post to clarify a few things.

Firstly, please report whenever the server crashes and/or lags. If no one reports it, we will never know and it will never be fixed. For lagging, only report it if you can confirm that 3 or more players are experiencing lag. We do not want to be spammed with lag reports due to a poor internet connection or anything of the kind. 

Secondly, we do not have a website and a Facebook page for no reason. If there was a good and efficient way to keep you guys updated in the game, we would do it. But there isn't, so we rely on our players checking the website for updates and news. This applies to anything and everything from global corporations to personal blogs.

Thirdly, the TNT was enabled as many players requested it. It is completely blocked in Community and spawning TNT is blocked in Inspire. The only way to get TNT is through crafting in Inspire or through WorldEdit. While there is a way to block WorldEdit from allowing TNT, I would really rather not go through the trouble of doing that. Many of you know that I have been busy doing lots of things for the server and I still have not completed many of things that I have planned. I kindly ask that you guys do not abuse WorldEdit.

The Moderator Rulebook, found here, has been updated! The rules should be much cleaner and simple now. Moderators and Super Moderators should refer to it to learn the PermissionsBukkit and HawkEye commands.

This is the official announcement for the start of the 1st DPI Building Contest! The rules are fairly simple:

All players can participate and may use any material. Player may team up with others and work together.

Participants must build in the plots in the area designated for the contest in Community.

Players may use 1, 2, or 4 plots per structure. If you are using 4 plots, have them in a 2 plots x 2 plots square arrangement. Do not make your building in a 1 plot x 4 plots rectangular arrangement.

Players may submit up to 2 buildings. To submit a structure, take a screenshot of it and email the picture of it along with your name to dpiminecraft[at]gmail[dot]com!

This contest will last for two weeks and end on September 16. More time will be given if needed.

Grand prizes are a personalized color name and 12 diamond in Inspire! Runner ups will be get 3 diamond each.

Admins are NOT allowed to enter the building contest but they are allowed to build in the lots of Bayre City.
