when i first watched season one and hit the train scene i had to pause the ep after and go outside because i felt so ill and panicked so lestat saying in the new ep it didn’t happen had me like 👀‼️
it’s interesting bc covert incest is such a huge part of this show every season but this season is IMMEDIATELY hitting us with lestat and his mother’s incest so it’s like. lestat saying the train scene didn’t happen and louis (seemingly informed by claudia but not prompted by a diary entry iirc) saying it did is fascinating bc it’s like. lestat being a victim of lifelong abuse potentially not even registering that the way he’s threatening claudia IS sexual and IS laden with rape threats bc this is the way he has always engaged with gabriella (including when he was victimized as a child) vs claudia and louis having the clarity to clock what’s actually happening in that moment
the train scene is such a cataclysmic turning point in season one so the fact that it’s getting mentioned again in the season that’s WAY more about incest than past seasons is so ‼️‼️‼️
