Jane couldnāt help nodding along in agreement as stories from her childhood confirmed Peterās words. Her mother would always go on to tell about those nasty pirates pillaging for anything and everything they could get their hands on. She knew Kovu wasnāt a pirate, but went along with it anyways. āThat they do.ā
His sudden change in demeanor made her freeze, her shoulders rigid and tense as she met his eyes worryingly. Catching movement out of the corner of her eye she shifted to get a better look and only met his shadow. Jane shivered, unnerved as she turned back to Peter. āBut how long would it take?ā
Peter caught on that he was making her nervous and ever so slowly did he begin to tone himself down, his boyish smile swiftly replacing that devilish one that he reserved only for certain times. Jane didn't deserve to see it, only the pirate thief who'd stolen her heart away got that pleasure.Ā
"Wouldn't take long," He figured. "Could do it now, actually."
