The idea of this happening to Kelryptid has me feeling ever so slightly dysphoric!! Ive tried to state on his toyhouse that he is sort of a representation of my trans feelings and his story is a metaphor for that. Should I start making a banner for Kelryptid? Like hey! Kelryptid is a metaphor for the author’s transmasc feelings! Please be kind!! I know it can be easily read the other way and I have seen many lovely transfem interpretations of Dr.Kel. I am happy if you relate to Kelryptid and see aspects of yourself in his story. He IS a big trans metaphor after all! Its never explicitly stated in his story which direction, so the confusion is understandable!

I was forced to write through heavy metaphor at time when I had to fit into a more traditionally feminine role for my survival. Kelryptid’s story was my desire to break free from that crawling out from underneath the skin, and how scary it can be when you cant stop your feelings from leaking out and showing on the surface, when those you care about start to be able to see it! And how good it feels to finally embrace those feelings and break free from how you are expected to act by those who hate you anyway. And to choose to be your true self around those who love you and don’t care if you change. You’re still you! Thats the important part!! Good friends will still love you even if you’re happier as a monstrous looking dude, aha.
