the argument that polyamory isnt queer or doesnt belong under the lgbt label or whatever is so stupid to me because like. why. its a non normative romantic orientation. do you just not think it belongs because you dont like it (Yes. The answer to that question is yes)

and i do think that humans in general arent really made to be constrained to romance and monogamy in the way its enforced and understood now and i do think a lot of people only feel like they really need it because its whats expected and normal. But i say that and people get mad at me so

like im not gonna claim to be an expert on psychology or whatever the fuck but like. the idea of only having ONE extra special all important person who must meet all your needs perfectly and who cannot be substituted for anybody else and who everyone else in your life must be lesser than in your eyes is insane

they should make "i was brave at the dentist" stickers but for trans women going to the grocery store and it would say "i was transgender at the grocery store" and it would have a picture of shadow the hedgehog in a lolita dress holding a gun

i do and say all of this because i want to save people from losing so many years like we did but i do have to admit. every time i go on a posting spree about plurality and one of my decidedly not plural mutuals or followers starts interacting with those posts a lot, i do feel my evil grin and villainous cackle coming back

(twirling mustache) often questioning plurality at all is a sign of it. almost nobody does this without having a very good reason to even if they dont realize it. and frankly many of the things that make people doubt it and conclude that theyre not plural (not feeling traumatized enough, not hearing voices, not feeling like they switch at all) are either just other less publicized types of systems or literally just symptoms of being a system itself
