and what music to listen to while I wrote. I am trying to get over how easily you hated me. I meant everything I said and then some and I wish you wanted to listen to me more than you wanted to be the center of attention. I know I’m accidentally searching for your fucking face in mine.

I'm not an awful person. I'm always in a fog. I'm not a bug or weed or tumor and I'm more than just a dog. I'm not afraid of spiders and I'm not afraid of cops. I'm afraid of men and feel trapped in my own thoughts. I'm strange and I'm a stranger and I can never understand, but frequently I check myself and focus on my hands. I never recognize my face and I'm not sure how I seem, but my mistakes and independence cause the stretch marks on my self esteem. I am me and I'm constantly turning pages to search for what that means. I am mistakes riddled in wisdom and yet my logic is always flawed; I have no answers or relief and yet I am my own God. I apologize for wasting space and time and yet I am a fool; I belong just where I am and must accept my tarnished rules. I am not golden but I deserve to treat myself as I would anyone; I am through apologizing and offering explanation.
