Just me gathering what the sides abilities are during my rewatch! I may add onto this! It’s also kinda for me to use for reference for my fics lol
All the sides seem to be able to shapeshift, though Janus seems to be the best at it as he was able to convincingly pretend to be Logan and Patton for extended periods of time. All the sides can also change their clothing at will, as well as sometimes affect the other sides clothing.
All the sides can appear near Thomas at will, and go back to his mind whenever they please. They all have their own rooms/areas within his mind, and some of these rooms have effects on other sides if they stay in them for too long.
All the sides can summon objects into their hands, though most seem to mainly stay focused around their core fiction (such as Logan, who summons graphs and posters to use to help explain his points), though there are exceptions. the twins seem to have the best control of this ability, being able to summon seemly anything they want, even living things (or at least, the image of living things (such as Remus summoning the leads of just like heaven and Roman summoning the puppies). Within Thomas’s mind they all seem to be able to summon whatever they want.
The sides knowledge is not limited to things that Thomas knows, such as Roman knowing how to speak Spanish and Logan knowing many facts that Thomas does not.
The sides ability to effect the real word is a bit debatable, we see Remus interacting with Thomas’s apartment, but this could also just be Remus messing with Thomas’s head, something we know he can do. Logan also throws a laptop at Thomas, which does cause him physical pain. Virgil also pushes Thomas during flirting with social anxiety, though this could be more a representation of a mental push to do something.
Ok, now, individual abilities!
As already said, the twins have the best summoning abilities, to fit with their function as creativity.
Remus can speak directly into Thomas’s mind, and seems to be able to project visuals into it as well. It’s unknown how much the sides affect Thomas’s dreams, but it’s evident that at least Remus (and likely Roman as well) can.
We haven’t seen any specific abilities for Logan or Patton yet, but we know Patton is also in charge of holding onto memories, so perhaps he can do something with that, Logan likely also plays that role for Thomas’s knowledge.
Janus can impersonate the other sides, both in appearance and voice, he is also able to silence the other sides at will, in order to hide information.
Virgil, when stressed, gains a distorted effect over his voice, which seems to draw Thomas’s attention to him and make him more likely to listen to Virgil’s directions in a situation that Virgil deems dangerous in someway (“why did you listen?” “He was loud!”). Virgil’s room, if stayed in for too long by one of the other sides, begins to twist their core functions in order to drive Thomas towards fear. Virgil’s makeup also reflects his emotions, growing darker when he’s upset, and becoming purple and sparkly when he’s happy.
