Doomkeep: two dragon people

Many delicious Doomkeep baked goods in the last month! Blackberry cheesecake cookies, wild Alaskan coho salmon, oatmeal scotchies, honey lemon dinosaurs, chocolate covered butter spritz cookies, cranberry applesauce cookies, maple spritz dunkaroos, and vanilla malt cupcakes. It's been a baking week here. Made sugar cookies with royal icing, and banana cookies with banana icing. Got to use up a bunch of different sprinkles, too! Oh man, these banana cookies. Doomkeep’s best eats from last year

Chocolate chip dragon cookies. Found the cutter on amazon! I think I will use less than the full 4 1/2C of flour next time, it made a lot of cookies but they came out a bit crispy and the dough was almost too dry to work. I did like rolling it out on wax paper, like the writer recommended. Starting my VancouFur baking for our trip next week! These guys are waiting in the freezer now. Needed some sunshine so I made lemon cheese pressed cookies with yellow sparkling sugar on top. Not my fanciest work but definitely tasty. From the 1963 Betty Crocker Cooky Book.

Oh my gosh you guys! Meltaways use cake flour and powdered sugar with no eggs. They cook hot and fast, part of the center is still super smooth, super safe cookie dough. They really do just melt on your tongue, wow. Really easy dough to work when portioning out on the baking mat, too. I will definitely make these again, but not for a while. They're so decadent! Valentines in Doomkeep was celebrated with steak and fondue in a blanket fort watching Star Trek, and then millions of treats. It was our first married valentines day. <3

Doomkeep's pets have been pretty cute lately. Zodiac and Cedar really bring their A-game when it comes to trying to get attention from us. Zodiac (kitty) is from Whatcom Humane Society in Bellingham WA, Cedar (dog) is from Homeward Pets in Woodinville WA. Rescue pets are my favorite!

Our dog, Cedar, is a 90 lb lap beast. She's such a sweet girl!

Meet my cat December. She's about 10 years old and 10lbs overweight. She's also very special and terribly sweet. Her cat tree is a castle and she has mice dressed as a knight and a princess, because she's a dragon like the rest of us.
