There’s something poetic that the greatest ally and true friend of the Doom Slayer wasn’t a hardened warrior, an omnipotent being and a seraphim but an intern.

His service animal he was given after his biggest trauma pre doom 1, where he accidently got an innocent little girl killed, the inciting incident why he attacked his CO, and the little girl had a bunny plushie. So the fact Daisy is a rabbit and how he wanted a rabbit specifically probably due to the plush the girl had means so much and how she did manage to help him through coping through his trauma. So to see Daisy, his symbol for hope and recovery, at a time where he is already mentally shattered given the events of the first game... like this...

And yet, they still kept coming! Not that he minded the busy work, no, but his ego was hurt at the implications that they weren't too scared to keep coming back. He pauses to readjust. "Been kickin' their asses good and plenty, sending them all to whatever hell-hole they crawled out of." He finally responds with a sly smile, his rugged expression softening into something more friendly. "Gotta keep you busy somehow."
