Hmm, I understand the perspective. When people say that, it can come across as if they're trying to position themselves as the "good ones" while implying that others who engage in darker content are somehow inferior if you read it that way. but I don't necessarily see it as an issue, to be honest. I think most of us can agree that darkshipping tropes are morally questionable and distasteful, but we recognize that it's fiction and can separate it from reality. I don't think people who express their dislike for such content are claiming moral superiority; they're simply stating their opinion that it's bad and that they personally don't engage in shipping that stuff. However, they still respect others' choices. Speaking as a darkshipper myself, I don't think they're wrong to call/find such content unpleasant or objectionable because, well, it is.
