Sent a previous version this winter, this is a new one with some little changes. Some critiqued the synth bass (0:28 and 3:30), so I messed around with it and it's not farting anymore, at least I think so.
Inspired by At Doom's Gate, which plays in the original E1M1 (I think y'all already know that).
It's something like industrial djent (which what I guess argent metal is), and I was inspired by Meshuggah in some places, so most riffs are polymetric (I like my metal when it comes with math in it). Any criticism is welcomed, especially from real musicians, unlike me.
The art was drawn by me. Can't attach the art standalone because video posts can only have just one video."

Something i wonder is how many mods think of adding shrapnel to explosive weapons
because it could make them extra deadlier but also lead to problems like certain enemies being hit too soon, given how level designers plan encounters and stuff like linedefs and all
(like how in hexen, you can get softlocked as the Cleric because of how the Wraithverge can hit some enemies too soon in some area, think in chapter 4 or something)
and i know 2016 had a shrapnel upgrade for the Rocket Lancher i think
but in general imagine your rockets seemingly miss or hit above a target, then the shrapnel falls and bounces around to hit target somewhat
or even if they act like those spike traps from Shadow Warrior where they stay in the floor waiting to hurt someone (The Caltrops i think)
(and now i'm reminded of Combined Arms because of the SSG replacement: Sharpshooter and its altfire of turning shotgun shells in the floor into bounching sharp things)
in a previous post i thought of Doom items shaped like the UAC logo
but what about the Quake logo?
I like to imagine like a flying drone shaped like the Quake logo where the lower end of the nail is where projects come from
Or at least you somehow hold the logo like a weapon and the upper nail top and 2 arcs make it work like a lightning gun
Thinking about how Old Blood had the character Kessler, who was somewhat based on a similarly named NPC from RTCW but with a more elaborate design and personality.
Likewise how Helga von Schabbs is based on Helga von Bulow from RTCW and also references Dr Schabbs from Wolf 3D.
I even wonder about what other returning/referenced characters would be in new games because i once thought they could easily have the Death Knight from Spear of Destiny show up as this Iron Man inspired guy and you fight him while he's flying.
Even steal his armor and used it against the Nazis.

Mzansi Doom64 Map Jam! 2026
"Welcome to the first ever Mzansi Doom64 Map Jam! (MD64MJ)
While many South Africans know about Doom and perhaps Doom 64, our community is relatively small (just like the Doom 64 community!). We started this jam to help grow that community, share South African culture, and improve our level design skills. For that reason, this map jam is open to EVERYONE!
We chose Doom 64 because it’s a small community like ours and has some unique features too, but we’ll host jams for Doom II in the future too.
We’re hoping to use a similar setup to the popular Doom 64 megawad, Ethereal Breakdown, and collect artifacts/demon keys from all completed maps in a hub for ease of play.
We hope you’ll celebrate Doom and Doom 64 with us in this first jam!
Remember, most of us are new to mapping in Doom 64 and we’re all learning, so please ask for help if you need it."
