so im thinking about going to culinary school for baking and pastry. grew up in small towns, moved a lot, sheltered and poor, didn't get out much and want something new. my goal is to start my own home bakery business, not work for some high end restaurant or open my own physical building.

I hear a lot of the usual culinary school not being worth it in the end and that it's a scam, that i should start as a cook in a restaurant/bakery or something similar and work my way up, but that's not the path I wanna go on, and i also want to be able to have the experience of going to school and seeing something new since I was homeschooled all my life and grew up without friends or going places often.
