Enji was a being whose existence could not be⌠properly understood.
In simple terms, human lore would dictate him as an incubus, a demonic creature who derived power from the feelings of lust and sexual desires of others. He traveled the world, feeding off of the energies of others. Entering the realm of oneâs dreams was one particular method he used to hunt; to find a target, seduce them, and then debauch them until theyâve reached their most primal and honest selves, and then absorb the power in those urges and emotions for his own. He had warmed many beds, from lonely single parents to inexperienced little virgins, to creatures not always of human origin, other dark beings such as himself.
His own greed and thirst for excitement is insatiable, and even now, here he is again, on the prowl for his next meal. There isnât anything especially noteworthy about this little town, though location didnât always matter. Wherever he went, there were always going to be people who were⌠craving his company.
One such instance occurs from the very second he passed by the doors of a local supermarket, suddenly hitting with such a force that halts him in his tracks. A sweet, saccharine scent of pure need floods his senses, so potent and intoxicating he nearly feels drunk, all but drooling at the mouth. Oh, he absolutely must find the source of this sheer concentrated desire. Itâs been too long since he had sensed something so coaxing, so alluring, making his every hair stand on end, skin practically tingling with anticipation as the demon all too eagerly begins his search. Now, where was his prey?
Produce and meats, aisle after aisle, so many auras of lust tickling Enjiâs senses but none nearly as powerful as the one he chased like a drug. Blue eyes dart from face to face, countless thoughts being tuned in to, minds being read, all in a search for his target, ever so desperately needing to find them whenâ
