I’m writing an Abigail x Female OC fan fic, and I’m dabbling with the idea of writing about post-fall in Cuba.

It’s Character x OC, I have the whole franchise planned out plot wise, and am super chuffed to get to writing! The first draft for the first chapter is done, and I’m midway through a draft for the second chapter!! Also I will forewarn I am a wattpad publisher, so if it’s not your cup of tea, you can just scroll on by. I just need help with accuracy in regards to these things :

- Historically. If there’s anything I need to be aware of in that time period. I believe it’s set during the 1700s, couldn’t say exactly when off the top of my head.

- Geographically. Describing locations and accurate travel from place to place and what not. Also what the places were referred to back then, for example I’m pretty sure that Singapore wasn’t actually recognised as Singapore by then.

- The lingo from back then.

- Politically. Obviously and unfortunately, there was a lot of colonisation and war in the 1700s. Lots of empires, so if there’s anything I need to know about that, it would be greatly appreciated if somebody could fill me in!

- Plot wise. I want to be almost as accurate as possible to most aspects of the movies, apart from the odd thing I’ll pick out for the sake of my own morals and opinions and also what works my own plot. If there’s anything unsaid or not necessarily made obvious in the movies I’d love people’s meta on it so I can build on all of the characters arcs etc!!

- And finally, with the actual whole literature part of it. How can I improve, what makes it more enjoyable for not only readers but myself? However please be gentle with me, I’m a sensitive soul lmao😭 But I’ll try and take any and all criticism on the chin to the best of my abilities.

I would do this research myself but I refuse to use google/safari excessively because of its AI feature, and I also thought it would be a good opportunity to connect with other people in the fandom space!

Like I said, I’m very excited about this because I put so much thought and time into building my own little world to attach to this phenomenal franchise. I’ve watched this series my entire life, with somebody who was very important to me. I want to do it justice, so please, any advice is wanted (probably needed too lol).

Also, just to be clear, I do not like Johnny Depp in any capacity. Hope the mf rots.

Brush your teeth WHILST you’re either in the shower or on the toilet, or whilst you’re doing anything at all really but these two specifically help me.

Two birds with one stone.

In the shower particularly it’s less of a sensory nightmare when you get it on your hands/around your mouth/on the handle of the brush since you can wash it away almost immediately. It puts your teeth routine into your shower routine, meaning you have one less routine to process.

Going to the toilet is something a lot of people do frequently, and grabbing my tooth brush before I sit down at night/in the morning is sometimes the only thing that makes me do it, otherwise I’ll stare at my toothbrush as I’m washing my hands and be like ‘meh’ and just go back to my room.
