Uni is going really well and ,after having an extremely difficult time with school in the past, I am very glad/relieved at how confident I feel about the course I chose.

I love talking to people, I love the connection and it can make a bad day so much better. Despite this, socialising is something I find it extremely difficult. I chose to not have flat mates as I’m autistic and have difficulties with food and food smell. I don’t regret that decision as what flat mates you get is pretty much up to luck but it does mean that ,compared to people who love their roommates, i feel quite lonely.

For my second year, I would like to live with a few people, partly because it’s cheaper and mainly because I don’t want to live alone for three years.

I know that even if I don’t make friends and I do live alone for the full three years, I’ll still finish my degree and hopefully go on to find a job. But despite knowing I could do it alone I desperately don’t want to.
