“Isn’t that a good thing though?” M mused, a hint of a tease in his voice. There were moments where M got the courage he never imagined, but he was glad it was unleashed. The treacherous voices in his mind were silenced in these moments, and no matter how much they pierced his soul, being in the presence of the ones he cares about deeply, the voices never reached. He hummed in approval at the reply given, relishing in the warmth that they shared and the soft touches he was given. M was very self conscious about his looks, his scars, the horrible past that they conveyed to the world, but still he knows it’s a part of him and something that should be accepted. He would flinch before from sudden touches, but these soft moments he enjoyed greatly.
Before he could answer, there was a soft kiss that was stolen, a little too fast for his liking but he could use this opportunity. He hums, taking the chance to bring Lucas’s hand up to his lips and giving it a light peck.
“Maybe…was it too cheesy perhaps?” He’ll admit that he’s been watching some romance dramas once in a while, but to take some lines, no he wouldn’t be able to do that.
“What if I say that it all came from the heart? Some of my most deepest thoughts that I sometimes even hesitate to voice, too scared to receive a reply, but when being showered with so much warmth and love from you how can I stop myself? Perhaps this is your special gift to me? Maybe another reward is needed, another kiss even?” Can’t let you win without trying for a comeback.~
Sometimes, Lukas found himself wondering where this courage came from. It was a far cry from the awkward, almost unsociable man he had known him to be. Perhaps M’s colleagues were to thank for that -- from what he observed from afar, they were a colorful group of personalities. The sort that can urge you out of your shell if there was even a chink in your wall. M had probably learned too well, if that were the case, as he was certainly making good work at tearing down his own walls.
A tilt of his head, a curious gaze looking upon the other as a kiss upon his hand tore him away from his musings.
“My, oh my... Where is all this coming from?” And he couldn’t help but laugh out of fondness. Still, he cradled the other’s cheek and guided him to his lips. The affection was as soft as before, but it lingered moments more. When he parted, there was still little distance between them.
"Between the two of us, I believe I’m more fortunate to have you. I, who was resigned to being the unknown villain. Someone you should have loathed from the beginning to the end. How can a kiss possibly be all you ask for?” He laughed, his fingers playing with silver hair, and he couldn’t help sneaking another peck onto unmoving lips. “I suppose a kiss is the only thing you can ask for, now. You already have my heart.”
