Technically, Gemini met Floyd first during the Entrance Ceremony (during his little fiasco with Riddle that ended w him being flung across the room) but that's a comic for another time <33

Thank you Azul Ashengrotto for giving Floyd a "tail Gemini" mission <33 technically he's the one who started the gears in Flogemi, with Jade coming in clutch to make them canon <33

The idea that Floyd eventually does get interested (platonically at first) with Gemini since they would react in ways he doesn't expect. So, when he does something -> Gemini reacts unexpectedly -> He gets more interested -> Tails them more -> Cycle repeats

Instead of a cutesie reference to film censorship it was an explicit statement of defiance of Maryland's criminalization gay sex, which was not repealed until 2002. This wasn't a guy saying "Oh they can't put what I do in the movies according to a completely voluntary industry code" he was saying "The State of Maryland wants to put me in jail for being gay and having gay sex."
