Hahahahahaha, I am kind of loving the King’s snark about all the insanity. Queen Grandma freaking out because the King is not supposed to be there and now they are going to have to deal with him finding out the whole “his dead wife is seemingly back from the dead and is going for round two of queen selection” and they have no idea how he is going to react is delicious.

And of course this happens:

His faaaace. Also, even I know this is an epic breach of protocol. What the poor man does not know, of course, is that this is Eun Bo the secret twin, pretending to be her dead sister Eun Ki, who the King previously married and made Queen under the wrong impression she was Eun Bo who he’s been in love with since childhood, and Eun Bo is now aiming to marry him to find her sister’s killer and to avenge herself on the king for her father’s death but actually being used by rebels who want another person on the throne and oh also she’s running an investigative agency on the side and the king has unknowingly been her client trying to find killers and is your head spinning yet.

Which is hilarious because because Eun Bo’s whole plan is not seduction but some sort of black widow thing:

As I said, poor guy. Especially since it’s clear her supposed father figure is totally manipulating her to hate the King wrongly because he’s supporting the rebel faction who wants that distant cousin on the throne. So all his talk about “you will find your sister’s killer blah blah” is just smoke screen because what he really wants is to flush out enemies who are powerful enough to attempt a royal assassinations (since he doesn’t want to deal with rival factions) AND to have someone who wants to kill the king as his wife next to him so she could shank him or w/e when his coup is ready. He clearly doesn’t think Eun Bo will make it out alive (how can she?) and gives no fucks. Which makes sense because his insane masquerade of “pretend to be your dead twin” is nothing you can pull off forever but he only needs it for a bit, for his coup. And if his seemingly dead wife distracts the king from paying attention, all the better for him. 

Oh, and of course the ministers are gunning for her:

This is pretty damn romantic except for the fact she wants to kill him. I need her to figure things out asap.

so yesterday i watched this 15 min video clip on my fb feed (it’s not in my history) and it was a historical drama about group of ladies who had to go through certain challenges to be chosen to marry the prince. so one of these ladies is favored by this senior lady who keeps doing things in her favor and helping her being the best in those challenges I guess, while also sabotaging this other lady who is seemingly a good and sweet person. so the evil lady does things like making the good lady seem like she’s wearing the makeup (they’re not allowed to wear any) and she puts some poison stuff into water for the good lady so she gets rash on her face but the good lady sees it thru and only has mild damages on her hands. also there was this task to randomly choose a tiny pouch which had a writing in it, saying how many coins each lady would get. so of course, the evil one gets maximum and the good one gets only 1 coin. they had to create something for the people with the money they got. so the good lady bought lots of paper and created some drum of fear or something like that, so people came to her, telling her about the bad things that happened to them and then i don’t know what happens to them but it has something with history and myths. the evil one makes a big celebration with lots of food and dancers and new clothes for the poor.  she also gets irritated that people went from her party to the good lady who only had that paper drum of nightmares or whatever that was so she ordered her men to kidnap her and her maid….so yep, 

also, i’m not so sure if it was a korean drama anymore.
