Memory is both a test and a trial.

At times, it brings joy, and at others, it causes restlessness. If it is weak, things are forgotten; if it is strong, nothing can be forgotten. Sometimes, even with effort, nothing comes to mind, while at other times, untimely thoughts keep one awake. Often, names are forgotten, but events remain. When something is remembered, the entire story is recalled, and sometimes, the entire tale is forgotten.

Isn’t it a form of injustice to divide feelings and emotions based on gender, and then to have neither punishment nor remedy for this division? Love, sorrow, grief, and pain are feelings that are equal for everyone; they cannot be confined to any gender. When someone’s emotions are judged on such a basis, it ultimately harms not just that person but also society, because no one bothers to address it..

انسانیت پر یہ کسی ظلم سے کم تو نہیں کہ احساسات/جذبات کو جنس/صنف کی بنیاد پر تقسیم کر دیا جائے، اور پھر یہ کہ اس کی نہ کوئی سزا ہو نہ ہی کوئی ازالہ۔

پیار، غم، دکھ اور تکلیف کے احساسات/جذبات ہر کسی کے لیے برابر ہیں، یہ کسی صنف کی قید میں نہیں ہو سکتے۔ جب کسی کے جذبات/احساسات کو اس بنیاد پر پرکھا جائے تو یہ زیادتی اُس انسان پر ہوتے ہوئے آخرکار سوسائٹی پر اثر انداز ہوگی کیونکہ اس کا ازالہ کوئی نہیں کرتا۔
