Out of Boredom

so, continuing with the political theme, i'm sure we all have heard about the scandal surrounding former head of the cia david petraeus. i have heard some pretty different opinions on the matter, and felt, out of boredom, i would share mine. so, the first issue about the scandal i would like to touch upon is whether or not the personal life of these officials should matter. i would like to preface this by saying that personally i do not believe someone's personal life affects how well they do their job. having said that, i completely understand why petraeus had to resign. it falls back on the belief that the leaders of this country should be those who have good moral fiber.(having just seen the girl next door again, the term moral fiber is stuck in my head) we want our presidents to be well mannered and loyal husbands and fathers, and we hold other officials to these similar standards. do i honestly believe that every president/official has been loyal and is a perfect person, of course not! i do realize however that petraeus was just the one who got caught. it may be a flawed system, involving our elected and non elected official's personal lives into how we judge them, but it's out system. i still  thinkpetraeus was a good head of the cia, he just messed up. hey, clinton had an affair and he was easily one of the greatest presidents we've seen in a while!

So, first and foremost, OBAMA got reelected! I worked on the campaign, and it was an awesome time.. #forward

So, in what is being called the freak accident of the year, i stupidly slipped down a grassy hill, and broke my ankle. had surgery yesterday, and am now stuck relying on one leg for a while. i intend now, that this blog will be the culmination of my boredom, to entertain with interesting stories, pics, and videos that help me pass the time. should be fun!
