Do Cyborgs Dream of Electric Goats?

Hi! I’m Panda, and this is my Deltarune au.

Some posts will have art, but some won’t, since I get burnout pretty fast.

This is the premise:

The chapter 2 “neutral” route, where Berdly fries his arm. Except, Berdly and Noelle figure out the dark world is real. Susie and Kris invite them to the castle, and there our lovely robots Sweet Cap’n K_K. and they sorta... fix Berdly? They make him a prosthetic wing to replace the fried one.

Our gang start to get really close, because they now have this world where they can all be themselves.

And Kris gets to be honest with their friends. They tell the other three (five, really, since the conversation happens in the dark world with Ralsei and Lancer listening as well) about their soul. The soul which is controlled by various other beings, who shout random things in their head. Who ask questions, and puppeteer their body to do things they don’t want to do.

(Haha, no, I only know if you’re the same anon if you say so. for me its all just “anon asks:”, which is kinda the point of anons, yknow? anyways, onto the answer)

Berdly: Never heard of that guy. I did hear of MegaMan though...

* Kris puls up a badly drawn version of spamton neo. Next to them, Susie chokes on air.

Berdly: I... gotta try.... c’mon...

Berdly: That’s. New?? It’s not an arm cannon, but. It’s something? I guess??

I definitely forgot to say that, but the bits of comic out right now are more of a prologue? The asks are answered a bit after they made Berdly a prosthetic arm. So, technically, this ask wouldn't make sense? Sorry, should've mentioned it earlier... ^^"

In which we enter the dark world and I finally get to do colored lineart... except it looks kinda meh actually.

also, yeah, this one is short. bc I made an actual animated gif for my sisters birthday so my hands are in pain. so small thing

I should probably mention now already that this will have actual comic updates without a clear schedule. I’m planning maybe one more and then I’ll need some asks before plot can be moved forward because I’m not a fan of huge timeskips, especially this early on. think of these few pages as a prologue, or something.

also, did you. like the transition. from light world to dark world. I really like it.

... probably time to explain that I was inspired by the paper trail comic with the fact that I’m coloring them in the dark world and leaving it black and white, for the most part, in the light world (because calling it “the real world” doesn’t seem to work when they’re apparently both kinda real and also when this is a video game so neither world is really “real”...)

anyways, the way I’m doing them now is more of a “get them out fast” way, so they’re not super detailed or thoroughly colored (though, the windows in castle town are colored out of the lines on purpose - this place is literally made of games, I wanted to have something about it be kinda childlike, and whats more childlike than being literally unable to paint inside the lines. (as a kid I knew I wouldnt be able to go in the lines so I went so outside the lines it was on purpose. which is probably me being so smart the adults didnt realize until I was 16 how deep my fine motor issues go...)

the new way Im making them is more focused on story than on making everything absolutely stunning. I get that its always a bonus when the art is great, but I always care more about telling a story than about making it pretty.

One page done! Its a start, that’s for sure.
