ULTIMATE HISTORIAN
Hailing from the sunny West coast, Historian came into this world with a vengeance. His early years would be defined by an unshakable bitterness and envy.
It was no question what the source of his unhappiness was. With two loving and well off parents, Historian's childhood anger could all be attributed to his attention hogging twin brother.
Even in birth, he would be overshadowed by his own kin. Born only 30 minutes after Historian, his Brother's complicated birth would naturally lead to an early favoritism from his parents.
This favoring of his twin would infiltrate nearly every aspect of his childhood.
In the home, his twin would be an overpowering force. It seemed Historian would be bested in any petty squabble by his doppelgänger. Video games, roughhousing and sports alike, Historian was always a silver medal holder.
This losing streak would continue in school for him aswell, with his brother being heavily favored by his peers. While he was never outright bullied, the preferential treatment of his sibling was enough to get deep under Historian's skin.
The constant feeling of belittlement forced a young Historian into a self created isolation.
While his brother spent his early years getting on with his classmates, Historian turned to literature. Through this, he would quickly grow a fixation on nonfiction writing.
Conflict was always the appeal for Historian. Scrawling accounts of great wars gave him an incomparable thrill. Whether it be 20th Century global conflicts or the downfall of ancient Rome, he couldn't get enough.
By the time he'd reach High-school, Historian had forgone any attempt at a social life. To him, it all seemed so pointless in the grand scheme.
He'd get a wake up call in Junior year when his brother's charisma was able to launch him into a career path Historian couldn't have imagined.
Suddenly his certainty of beating his brother in the career circuit began crumbling before his eyes. He hadn't even gotten his High-school degree yet and Historian's self image had been torn to shreds.
His overwhelming jealousy of his twin would finally stop holding him back and instead light a fire under his ass.
Historian began taking rigorous care of his personal appearance and public image. With his brother now out of the same social circles, it became a lot easier for Historian to breathe.
With resentment as his key motivator, Historian rationalized his peers as a means to an end. Truthfully, most of them irked him to his core.
Even so, by learning and playing by the room's rules Historian would be able to win his peers over with ease. He didn't have to be funny, he didn't have to be nice. He only had to be convincing.
Historian would be their class president in less than a year after his brother departed the school for the Hollywood life. It wasn't where he wanted to be, but it was a start.
He found his time on the school board immensely dissatisfying. The title afforded him no authority to make the sweeping changes he found necessary for the student body. Internally, Historian would be setting his sights on something much greater.
The goal was clear for him, reshape this wretched world. He would never be satisfied until he'd be able to chip away at this grand plan.
His heart would stop when his parents broke the news that his brother's launch to stardom had landed them a spot on a family game show. He'd be given no choice but to attend.
It was his first time reuniting with his familial rival in nearly a year, and Historian was terrified of being embarrassed on national television. A wave of relief washed over him when he learned they'd be questioned on The French Revolution that night.
For the first time in his life, Historian was able to outshine his brother. While the game meant nearly nothing to everybody else playing, this would be the final confidence boost Historian needed to take on the world.
It would only be a week later that a letter would arrive for Historian from the prestigious Hope's Peak University. He'd felt like he'd earned this, that everything was falling into place with him.
With the academy's approval behind him, it seemed he'd finally be able to best his brother after all.
Will you be here for the revolution?
