The Art of Madness

i’ve hated you with my entire being, 

Immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY upon first interaction from Stein and Medusa, I can tell they have amazing chemistry.

Like rip your guts out while passionately making out kind of chemistry. They have all these amazing interactions with him uncovering that she’s a witch, some very close calls from him calling her out, AND THEY ALMOST KISS MAY I ADD

In their final fight, they match wits with eachother and challenge one another; he loses all inhibitions, becomes manic, even kills her. She’s absolutely crazed and dying, bleeding out as she says “I love you” with crazy eyes and a huge ear to ear grin.

They show eachother their true fucked up selves and it’s such an emotionally charged moment as he says “At your core, you’re just like me; you can’t possibly understand a concept like love”.

So she gives him one last ‘Fuck you, I’ll make sure you never forget this moment’ by taking a chunk out of his neck, only for him to throw her to the ground and deliver the finishing blow. A swift scythe slice to the stomach.

She dies, unraveling, smirking and giggling, as he stands over her, grinning down in satisfaction.

Truly, they had EXPLOSIVE chemistry, maybe not romantically, but good god they are wonderful foils to eachother. Truly a match made in hell.

While I may have fallen out of love with Soul Eater somewhat, though I still *adore* these two characters, that right there is one of the things that really drew me to 'em and pulled me in hard to the whole concept of that kind of chemistry between chars.
