Ah! Here we go part one what influences transformations of the cursed? Thoughts! ( seemingly both conscious and possibly even subconscious )

Most if not all cursed have their forms derived from what they were thinking at the time of their viewing of the visitor ( what is around them also seems to play a key role). ( I realize I put "objects around them" at the bottom of the list of transformation influences on the first post but it will also be here, apologies)

Examples!

Lyle: everyone's favorite camera spider! If you do see his true form by peaking ( rude ) during the kiss you can ask "what happened to you?" And he admits to looking outside after trying to take a picture of the visitor ( or at least just the sky at the time ), so it can be reasoned that his camera themed transformation was influenceed by having the camera on him...

Edwin: also known as stargazer.. was observing the visitor through a telescope, though his final form includes multiple telescopes...it is more likely that these simply sprouted out of him rather than, like Lyle, fusing with them...

Security Guard: ( does...his real name ever get mentioned? ) guy watching the tapes... saw the visitor through the security camera footage and as a result his transformation includes several monitors...( though like edwin these seem to have been sprouted as the room he is in still has several intact monitors...) he also appears to have fused with the chair he was sitting on...

Hell ride: while not mentioned in game... Frankie mentioned in a stream that the reasoning behind hellride's transformation is a person with extreme road rage...fusing with his car

I have been conducting research on the cursed, and being cursed and theories to how it works...( the brain worms have taken over every inch of my soul)

I have compilled a master post of sorts of all my findings....but it's like.... a lot and a lot of text and to avoid possibly crashing tumblr with one wall of text ( and to make my life easier ) I'll just make several posts of bits of info! Starting here! ( bit of a glossary of sorts )

What elements effect a transformation?

-thoughts of the cursed upon viewing

-Mental state/level of calm during the viewing

-Distance from the visitor/length of viewing

-and what objects were around them during the transformation

I have also observed that the cursed seem to have some desire for the assimilation of others...not for nutrition ( like the fungal lair) but for some other unknown purpose...

Examples may include: infection, fusion, disection? ( looking at you shadow), theft of limbs, taking control of another's body or any inate desire for a victim to witness the visitor in some way ( like the first eye guy wanting sam to "see" like he did.... vincent also had similar lines to this I think)

( infection is getting its own section as well since there have been many cases of this happening )
