youtubers trying to get dnp in the background of their vlogs (if not just shoving a camera in their face without asking) was a sport. because it was guaranteed views!!! because part of vidcon/playlist as a fan was to watch every single daily vlog from every single creator to see your fav for 0.5 seconds but if something dramatic happened then that's a massive spike in views/money for the creator. youtubers knew that having dnp in their thumbnail was like printing money

the majority of it was using dnp for clickbait on videos. fucking SHANE DAWNSON hiring psychics for a video to ask if they were secretly gay, making a conspiracy video using phan proof/their formsprings, talking shit about them with emma blackery. let's not forget evan edinger publicly tweeting that every youtuber had seen the vday video!!!!!
