Sartre'ın Varlık ve Hiçlik eseri yeni yayımlanmıştı. Yıllık iznimi en absürd anlarda yanı kesinlikle yazın kullanmadığımdan kış sonuna denk getirmiştim. Ve tatilimi Varlık ve Hiçliğe adamıştım. Oturmuş can hıraş kitabı okurken karşı masamda saçının bir kısmını maviye benzetmeye çalışan biri birasını alıp başıma dikildi:
