this mostly manifesting as a tendency to 'faint' on a mission when things drag on too long for his taste

after the second incident, Obi-Wan catches on to the pattern and stops catching his Padawan when he goes down

which means that Anakin escalates to aiming his descent so that he faints ONTO Obi-Wan

this launches a competitive game where Obi-Wan skillfully dodges Anakin's attempts to faint on him and/or dumps him onto the floor, all without pausing in his attempts to negotiate, which confuses all parties at the table to agree to his proposals without further arguing

which, of course, only incentivizes Anakin to continue this pattern, much to Obi-Wan's chagrin, since this gets him home to catch up on his holo soaps and tinkering even sooner

one time, he does this on a joint mission with Master Windu; Obi-Wan is mortified, and bracing for a reprimand

Hera viewed Master Windu as a stoic, wise hero of the clone wars. A steely-eyed general like her father. He had no idea how to tell her that the same master Windu gleefully hurled 8 year olds from towers on a regular basis.

Some masters viewed the practice as childish, or thought it encouraged vain and superfluous use of the force, or at the very least they would stand on the ground ready to catch anyone who panicked instead of climbing the tower, but Master Windu never failed to join the padawans. He never failed to smile as he launched them up and then let them fall hundreds of feet to the ground.

How could he describe to her how gentle he was with them? How he never pressured those who weren't ready, only encouraged those who needed it. How softly he spoke, kneeling down to the youngest and bravest, explaining what they had to do, breathing with them, helping them rely on their courage. How could he tell her that Master Windu had once knelt with his hand on his shoulder and reminded him that there would always be masters on the ground to catch him, telling him that they had never let a child splatter on the stone and they didn't intend to start today?

He wanted to. He knew Hera loved any tiny scrap of his past that he offered. She had seen him jump from great heights before and he could see on her face that she wanted to ask. He just had no idea how to put into words the giddy anticipation, the wild whoosh of the air past his face, the sensation of hurtling toward the ground with complete trust he would land light as a feather.

At least, he couldn't trust himself not to say, "We used to jump of the council chamber tower and it felt just like falling in love with you."

Obi-Wan: *does smth reckless and insane*

Anakin: Wow Obi-Wans really pulling out all the stops huh Master Windu

In legends she goes on a mission to the planet Haruun Kal during the early Clone Wars, and there she turns to the dark side. It isn’t because she wants power, it’s because she despairs over the horrors of war. She’s constantly plagued by nightmares and migraines and she’s barely able to get out of bed. Her despair leads her to commit atrocities, and she even duels her former master Mace Windu during a final battle for Haruun Kal. Realising what she has become, she places her lightsaber to her head and tries to kill herself. At the last second she’s stopped but she falls into a comatose state from which she never wakes. Mace says that selfishly he would’ve rather lost the battle of Haruun Kal if it meant he could’ve saved Depa. She was his Padawan, his best friend, and the daughter he’d never have.

In canon Depa also goes to Haruun Kal during the Clone Wars, but instead of turning to the dark side she suffers a great defeat at the hands of general Grievous. She loses 90% of her battalion on top of receiving life threatening injuries herself, which leads to her falling into a coma. After six long months she’s finally woken up by the precence of a young Caleb Dume. Whispers go around the temple and in the army that she’s now ”damaged goods” incapable of leading soldiers in battle. Depa of course feels guilt and responsibility for the lives lost on Haruun Kal. It’s the presence of Caleb Dume, the youngling she now takes on as an apprentice, which reignites hope and purpose in her life. Even if their time as master and padawan is cut short because of order 66, Depa’s legacy and teachings live on in Caleb, now Kanan Jarrus, as well as in his own padawan Ezra Bridger.
