Between the unethical firing of Melissa Barrera for speaking out about Palestine, the Meta AI team up and partnership with Kalshi (a predatory gambling app), this movie is not worth watching. On a shallower note I cant see the return of so many legacy characters as anything but a cynical cash grab, an attempt to get asses back in theatre seats after the bad press they got for their pro-genocide bullshit.

At the end of the day I actually just don't think we need another Scream movie. They clearly don't understand what the franchise is about anymore, and they very obviously don't know how to tell new stories in the universe that engage with the meta aspects that make Scream unique. Without that it's a relatively generic slasher with a good mask.

If you want to see the movie I encourage you to pirate it or find a place to stream it free, it's super easy to do. If you want a scream shirt or poster or something, buy it from a fan creator. Just please avoid putting more money in the pockets of people who clearly only want to milk you for cash at the expense of your rights, and at the expense of peoples lives.
