— Karl would be absolutely ecstatic to have a son. I personally head-canon him as a girl!dad, but I have no doubt if you gave him a son he’d lose his mind. That’s his BOY!!

— in contrast to how I think he’d be with his daughter (gentle, overprotective, complete helicopter) I think he’d be a lot more lenient with a son. Not neglectful, but like, if his DAUGHTER fell he’s going insane he’s got all the bandaids out he’s insisting a hospital visit. If his son falls, it’s more, “You good little man? Yeah? Cool, brush it off, you’re good.” type thing.

— Absolutely swears his mouth off and is the reason his son ends up with a terrible potty mouth at just three (3) years old.

— Calls him things like “Champ” “Sport” “Lil man” “Bud”

— Probably makes the kid hold the flashlight and yells at him if the light goes crooked, even if it’s not crooked.

— If the kid by some unlucky stroke develops Karl’s powers, that’s probably the one area Karl’s going to be overbearing and protective. He’d be immediate on teaching him how to control and manage it, probably have boundaries and rules around when and where to use them.

— Deep down he probably resents the idea of his son ending up anything like him, but that’s not his son’s fault, that’s Karl’s own issue.

— Probably hides him from Miranda and the other lords. He doesn’t want that wicked bitch anywhere near his son, because he knows damn well Miranda’s going to see the kid as “Heisenberg 2.0” and an opportunity to run experiments and gather research.

— His son would probably pick up on Karl’s transatlantic accent. I’d imagine this applying to either son or daughter, but imagine a littler version of Karl scampering around with that little accent. Adorable, Karl is on his knees SOBBING.

— probably crafts toys from scrap metal. Mini replica of his hammer, little race cars, etc.

— Probably has the Leican’s on guard when his son leaves the factory. As his son gets older and more capable, it probably lessens.

— As the kid gets older I can imagine him developing an attitude on par to Karl’s, especially in his teens. Sassy as FUCK, sarcasm top tier, lippy little shit and Karl cant even be mad cause That’s His Boy.

Additionally, him reading it trying to figure out why Merle ended up the way that he did, considering Daryl is Not Like That.
