I was feeling like that last year, actually. I had to sit myself down and think about things because I realized that I was also being super hard on myself when it came down to it. I sorted myself out and now I have a new song coming out that I meant to release last year. Things are falling into place slowly. But taking everything in is so important, it can be overwhelming so I think that everyone feels like that at one point or another. What do you think are your proudest achievements since weâre on the interesting topic?Â
I really understand that on a personal level. We push ourselves so hard weâre in danger of giving ourselves a burnout. My proudest achievements? Well I think outside of acting it would be that I got my greenbelt in Kickboxing when I was filming the last movie. What about you?
hfrtveitâ:
Well, it deepens on the thing, but I agree. Itâs nice to meet you.
Likewise! Iâm a big fan of your work.
moxleyfameâ:
I definitely feel you, there. I think sometimes itâs hard to see how much youâve done until youâre able to look back on it clearly. When I left WWE, I felt like Iâd failed in a way but now looking back, I had a hell of a run there that I need to be proud of. Youâve definitely achieved a ton, headlining a mega franchise this young and becoming wildly successful? Thatâs some good shit right there.
Absolutely! I think we need to find things in amongst everything going on that weâre proud of and can be happy with. And thanks, I really do think I need to give myself more credit. What are your plans now youâve left WWE?
queenvhâ:
She was real! And all that raw emotion! Especially in the last movie! Amazing. I mean Carrie Fisher will always be everyoneâs princess in our hearts.
She was one of the best of us, thatâs for sure. And she gave me so much advice for when I fist came to set.

Oh, all the time. I feel like in the industry that we work in, thereâs always some sort of pressure to do more. Whether itâs brought on by yourself or someone else, thereâs always some pressure and itâs easy to spiral down into that hole. Unfortunately, itâs not something that I have figured out how to get rid of or ignore. But those moments when you can step back and really do an introspective look into yourself and everything youâve done are important because they help bring you back to reality, you know? Pat yourself on the back for a minute. Realize that a lot of it is pretty self-inflicted and none of this needs to be this hard on us.Â
Wow, thanks for the advice. Iâm sitting here thinking if you can be so level headed about all of this then I have a fighting chance! I remember seeing you in Atonement and it just stuck with me. But youâre right; how we feel is very self-inflicted.
dvlcbrienâ:
Please donât take this the wrong way when I sayâŚwhat the fuck? Of course i know that all actors go through this question of âhave I done enough?â But you⌠youâre top notch, Miss Ridley. Youâre in one of the best franchises to go down in history. I think thatâs a huge accomplishment but I can see where youâre coming from. What has you believing that?
Dylan! Not to sound like Casper but can I keep you! Youâre too sweet, I feel like I need you in my bag at all time for moments when Iâm feeling uncertain.
barbpalvinsâ:
I certainly need my Grandmaâs cooking, as soon as possible. I know, nobody could beat her style of cooking, it always fills me up. Youâre right, what do you recommend?
I have lots of cookbooks but Iâm Vegan so I donât know if youâre interested in those?
mrcusrashfordâ:
think sâjust human nature to think that weâre always.. underproducing? ân i think thatâs a side effect of how.. i donât know, work ethic hungry society is a whole. peopleâll prioritize work over their own health, ân itâs all so twisted. definitely glad youâre givinâ yourself some grace ân not letting them get to you so much. feel like âs the same in football as well. yâscore a certain milestone of goals, but then youâre already wondering why yânot at the next hundred yet.. âs a toxic cycle, for sure. best off avoiding it at all costs.
I know itâs a toxic circle but itâs harder to come out of it than it first seems. Sometimes I have days when Iâm so sure of myself and my thoughts and other times I just want to curl up and watch Beauty and the Beast. It goes back and forth.Â
xxkikistewsxxâ:
Yeah, i mean, it wasnât as hugeee as Star Wars was and still is, but it was a time in space that twilight hit a lot of people, and if it helps, youâre liked by the world, you kickass in Star Wars, and youâre right, the thing that helped me the most back then was, having a family inside, the whole cast was like family. And itâs more than okay to be you, you are fucking amazing!
It was still huge; especially for the teenagers so a different audience but in a way it was still a huge phenomenon. But oh my god, youâre so kind; thank you for being such a cheerleader! It means a lot coming from someone whoâs really come up through the business as a child and progressed on. Â

I definitely understand where youâre coming from. But I honestly try not to think about it that much. Most of the time, our mind is our worst enemy, you know, and we shouldnât give in to our thoughts. Youâre a badass, and youâve achieved so many things, Iâm a big fan of yours, seriously.Â
Youâre right; I think weâre our own worst enemy most of the time and Iâm learning to be kinder to myself. But thank you, that does mean a lot! Iâm a big fan of ours too! I used to watch Merlin all the time.Â
ncrmaniiâ:
I completely understand how you feel. I get that feeling sometimes too. Itâs easy to forget to take a moment to really appreciate how much youâve done already when weâre always focused pushing forward onto the next. Itâs good to take a little time to reflect on the journey. Same, I tend to nitpick when I watch things back on what could have been better or done differently. But at the end of the day, everything Iâve done in the past six or so years is what has given me the opportunity to do more things I want to in the future. I wouldnât be here doing what I am now without that time and experiences.
Yes, our lives are always so full on; itâs hard to even take a minute for yourself. I feel Iâm getting better at that now though. Like Iâm able to spend time with people I care about and not worry that Iâm not reading a script or something.Â
phebetonkinâ:
youâre not alone. i used to feel like that then i realized how much pressure i was putting on myself. it was worse when i was comparing myself to others and how much they had accomplished. while you could look on the past to see how you could improve, i wouldnât focus on it too much. try not to be too hard on yourself.
I really need to not look at what others are doing at the same time as me otherwise Iâm going to go mad I think. Like look at you; I remember watching you on H2O Just add Water and now look at you; doing even more amazing! Sometimes I think Iâm lucky Iâm not still pulling pints.
ryguzmanhfâ:
What? Are you kidding me? I mean you did do this little thing called Star Wars and like remade it pretty much for a new generation. You have done a lot and changed a lot and are great. Iâve not done much the most Iâve done is be on 911 and itâs only been like 2 going on 3 years now and thatâs nothing.Â
Iâm beginning to think Iâm gonna have to hire you as my personal trainer. I feel like I could take on Goliath now! But donât discredit yourself to make me feel better! Youâve done a lot too and you shouldnât forget it!
ctrlshawnâ:
so often. despite everything iâve done in the past six years, i still think about everything i could be doing by now. iâm my own worst critic and i know it. i look at what other people my age and younger are doing and i just drive myself crazy. youâve done quite a lot in the past few years, havenât you? i mean, you were apart of one of the most popular franchises of all time, right? that has to feel good as hell.
Right? Itâs like we can never be kind to ourselves because there is always someone out there who seems to have done more or seems more put together. I think it seems to be a curse no one can really shake. I mean, after the first Star Wars was released I remember having to go to therapy to try to normalise myself again. But yeah, now I can kinda look back and say hey, look at that; I was in Star Wars.

I think since I moved from Australia to LA, I havenât really stopped to think about that. I really should though.
Or maybe you shouldnât. Sometimes I think all it does it cloud your mind and make you sorta doubt everything. Iâd stay out of that thinking if I were you!
keithduffy-hfâ:â
I havenât thought that. But when I get the chance to, I stop and look at things I have achieved. Its still a lot to get my head around.
Yeah sometimes I think we all get so bogged down on the things we havenât done and not look at the things we have.Â
