“And what if they’re great friends and can make an even greater couple, huh? What do you say about that?” Sophie responded right back, a hand against her hip as she looked back at her brother. It was no secret to anyone that Dylan wasn’t a fan of Luke or much less Marnie’s friendship with him. But just like how it was obvious that Dylan disliked him, it was also super obvious on how much Luke liked Marnie and vice versa. In fact, the youngest witch was a bit surprised that the two weren’t dating already— Luke literally had asked Marnie out on a date back when they first met, and yet? “Besides, are you sure you want to be one to talk about these kinds of things? Aren’t you good friends with the same girl you also have a crush on?” 

Their designated meeting place was an old and rusty bench, worn away from years of service. It was her favourite spot in the park, even though she wasn’t a frequent visitor. It was the perfect spot for her as the tree behind her provided enough shade so her skin didn’t burn yet let enough light in for her to read when she so desired. It was just so comforting.

She checked the time. 2:49pm. She was eleven minutes early and she cursed herself for constantly feeling the need to be punctual. It led to a lot of waiting around and she didn’t have anything interesting to pass the time. If only she hadn’t left her work papers at home, then perhaps she would have been able to get some work done.

The sigh she let out almost concealed the sound of footsteps heading her way. She risked a look up and saw him: the man in the picture her mother had shown her. Suddenly very self-conscious, she sat up straight and gave a small wave. “Um, hello.”

Lola was walking through the hallways of the house. She was tired and hadn't had a good nights sleep ever since she got here. The thought of sleeping in the same room as Dylan appalled her, so she only slept ten minutes here and there where-ever she could find a decent place. She heard from the other people that Dylan was supposedly somewhere, and not in the room. It was Lola's chance to sleep a bit. She opened the door and just as she suspected, saw no one.
