Today was quite the eventful day, you had one mission in mind: protect Atsushi. Yes, Atsushi. The number one furry. Your 6th cat, probably. (Wdym it's a tiger? No it's not… Wait, its… does Atsushi go by it/its pronouns?)
… Yes, because, when the sun rays hit your face this morning through your windows, and you growled desperately reaching for your phone, what you saw on your notifications had you wondering, is this a FUCKING dream???? And when you say dream, you really just mean nightmare.
Yes, that is right. The agency Atsushi works in has been framed for multiple, if not QUITE A LOT of crimes!
But you knew them better than this, this had to be false, surely someone with a powerful ability framed them, and they were going to solve this, right!?
The armed detective agency always solved the wildest cases like they were no stretch, you knew Atsushi personally, you met him when you were just a silly citizen trying to protect him from an attack, and actually caused more troubles than help, but pushing that aside!
Well, you have no ability like the armed detective agency, but if they exist, everything is possible right? You get out of your appartment, and run down your streets, as fast as you can, you try to reach the fatest location to where you think Atsushi could be, but no one is there.
Your heart beats; faster, your vision darkens, but you try to stay on this earth, you're shaking, pale.
You see a wall nearby, it is quite dark, and you would not walk in a dark alley of yokohama in your right mind, but the sun was killing you today, you just needed to lay on a while and get some fresh air, your bones felt like they were crushing your own skin. You breath, harshly enough, but when you walk into the dark alley, your guts and survival instinct finally reach you: you need to get out of here. But it's too late, you feel a lot of dust behind you, then suddenly, a voice…
"I believe you were acquainted with the Armed detective agency…"
Of course you're acquainted with them! You get along with everyone! That isn't a godamn reason to arrest you like that!
Because, at your wrists, in that moment, were forced shackles put on.
WOAH. What a way to meet your future date. Surely, your relationship was complex, its built on quite the "ennemy to lover" trope kind of thing?? Yeah, a lot of angst, a lot of emotions and a lot of adventures!
You almost died quite a lot of times, having no ability yourself and being involved in such world-ending scenarios, Jono wasn't the safest either, and his ability was quite strong.
You've got to seen it all, Jono's sadistic ways, his INTERROGATORIES !! his passive agressivness, his stubbornness for everything to be "fair"… And his future tendancies to turn into particules of dust in the house to troll you.
Yeah.
But, you've also got to see another side of Jono, one a little warmer, his slakeless value of justice, the extent he goes to respect his values even at death's doors, and the tenderness and elation he feels when he protects someone.
All the drama asides, when you both dated, you would both bond a lot over animals. Surprisingly enough, despites Jono's sadistic nature, he tends to love animals, and you both visited zoos together, it happened to you to discuss the ethics of zoos together.
Being blind, Jono cannot read, so you've read stories to him a few times when he was exhausted, and it was quite the thing to experience, It seemed Jono WASNT used to read… Well because he can'rt read! He's blind!
Your love for knitting, crocheting, and embroidery didn't get out of Jono's mind just because he is blind. Infact, it seemed he was determined to learn despites being blind, and upon laughing and explaining to him that would be a bit complicated, he still actually learned those hobbies a little bit fast… and, he hurt himself a lot trying, assorted weird colors and did quite some silly mistakes. But it was still quite impressive.
It happened once that he tried to surprise you by trying to knit something black and green has he heard it was your favorite color, drunk… he mistook the colors (cuz hes blind and even tho he thought he could idk hear the nanometers of the colors of whatever he was drunk) and it was a big fail, but it was quite touching.
You and Jono are quite a peculiar duo, Jono doesn't really pay much mind to it, but when you go out together, people look at you weird: Jono has white hair with red edges, and you have green hair. It happened that one day you went out together, and it happened to be pride month, and it so happened that a random stranger came over to you and told you where the pride was going, only to apologize and explain they only told you because you both looked queer.
Being a philologist, you loved to study books with Poe at times, and it so occured to you that Jono, the blind guy, has tried claiming he could hear letters and study with you (that didn't work out).
Jono first complained about your animals, lightly, but the animals grew on him and even though he didn't want to show it at first, he grew really protective of them and you surprise them cuddle at times.
Overall, your relationship is quite the adventure, and on trivial things and day to day life, you tend to try your best to help Jono with his blindness despites him claiming he could hear and sense everything and could do stuff just fine. Sure, he was a really important person and had really heavy work, and was quite powerful, but the amount of dumb mistakes he actually did when being overly confident was hilarious, still, you wanted to be of help.
And.. One thing last, actually, to please you, Jono went to a concert with you once, and it was a loud concert. Jono HATED IT, and you kinda dragged him to it. He complained you wanted to make him not only blind but also deaf, you joked and claimed he would be able to sense things better (you slept on the couch that night).
