“One of those robot assassins, right?” Techmo asked to confirm. Strange that one would show up here to get repaired, since the whole point of them was to self-destruct after they finished off their target. Either there was some sort of fault in this one’s programming or it had simply gotten injured in a failed assassination attempt. Either way, he found the whole deal of the line of androids to be highly unethical.

Still, the bot needed help, and Techmo was never one to turn people or robots away when they were injured.

“Yeah, I can fix you up,” he said. “I can run a free diagnosis to see what’s wrong and then give you an estimate on the cost, if it’s money that you’re worried about.” The cyborg motioned towards his workbench, “Just lie down over there and I’ll do a quick scan.”

      “ okie-doke! “   scud drops himself on the presumed doctor’s table with a clank and an unsettling grinding noise. he folds both of his plasticized alloy hands behind his cylinder computer.  he wondered if he was too trusting, letting this stranger operate on the mortal robot. maybe he should just take off? he’s worked his way through his problems before, and this wasn’t any different -- but what reason did he have not to trust him?
