I am Not Happy™ with the not-yet-released official Dismas design, therefore I had to spend an entire night back in April perfecting this simple bust of my version of Dizzy. Yes, he is from Atlantis.

And just to show how terrible my workflow is, so you can see why it takes me forever to shit out even the smallest thing:

Per the episode commentary, whenever Dismas doesn’t know the answer to a question, he just dodge-rolls it. But this--I think this is a wombo-combo of feigning ignorance in order to dodge a question that he knows the answer to, but wants to appear as though he’s above possessing that knowledge. Upstairs don’t know what goes on Downstairs, and that makes them more Upstairs.

Which all makes me wonder how low the Mudeyes are on the Fringe ladder. I’ve been picturing them as weirdo reclusive artist-types, who would insist on harvesting their own clay because 1) they ain’t got slave money, and 2) you can’t just send some unskilled worker to go get “clay”, like there’s only one grade and variety of clay; clay is serious fucking business. But if clay harvesting is widely seen as a “slave job”, that would probably reflect poorly on them, like they’re a bunch of gross dirt people. So no wonder Dismas would want to distance himself from them--can’t Move On Up (to the South East side) if everyone thinks of you as some kind of ghetto trailer trash pig farmer.

Do datapads have a drawing program? I guess they must, since paper seems to be an uncommon, old-timey kinda thing.
