“what are you gonna do, cry about it?” yes . the fuck
ALL. OF. THIS.
it’s crazy how when you’re 11 you think wow nationalism is the root of all evil and war is despicable and religion is the opiate of the masses and misogyny is everywhere and climate change is our most dire threat. and you start to grow up and you think well surely it will become more nuanced to me, surely there must be a reason adults arent breaking down wailing in the streets due to the cruelty of this world. and then you become an adult and you think wow nationalism is the root of all evil and war is despicable and religion is the opiate of the masses and misogyny is everywhere and climate change is our most dire threat
i’m really sorry about my behavior. you see, growing up, my family- *remembers blaming all my problems on other people is really annoying and unhealthy* i mean. i am responsible for all the evils of this world and i bear sins like the sky bears the stars

My favourite thing in the world is seeing folks act like real human beings around big celebrity personalities

@/egberts made an open tag and I’m procrastinating and find seeing people’s music tastes such a cool insight into their personalities SO:
"Shuffle your ‘on repeat’ playlist [on Spotify] and list the first 10 songs that play, then tag 10 people." (If you don’t use Spotify any shuffle works :) )
1. Bloom- The Paper Kites
One of my ultimate comfort songs
2. Big Black Car- Gregory Alan Isakov
A local artist from my hometown! I highly recommend his music if you like indie folk
3. Amsterdam- Gregory Alan Isakov
What can I say. I like him.
4. Sober to Death- Car Seat Headrest
Found it during a rough mental patch. Great for staring into space and having an existential crisis, as many Car Seat Headrest songs are
5. Wildflower and Barley- Hozier ft. Allison Russell
This song sounds like the sun coming out in the spring. I like it when I walk to the grocery store.
6. Dinner and Diatribes- Hozier
It’s Hozier. I love Hozier.
7. Fairy Fountain- Super Guitar Bros
This is from my music for sleeping haha. It’s a cover of the song from Zelda
8. Kyoto- Phoebe Bridgers
Call me basic, but it feels like your first time solo travelling in your 20s
9. Reflections- Toshifumi Hinata
Also from my sleep playlist. I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music this year. This one feels like a fancy tea party.
10. Death With Dignity- Sufjan Stevens
SUFJAN MY BELOVED. This album is one of my faves (Carrie and Lowell)
Not pictured: all the homestuck soundtracks I’ve been listening to to get my brain in gear for writing papers haha.
I’m tagging @worm-queen-official @agentxpoe @overcaffeinateddoctor @rabechen @jctko @bug4932 and anyone else who would like to participate! 💜

"Chasing Stars" by Fleurie. this song has always given me hope for the future and I listen to it whenever that's something I especially need
"Waiting for the End" by Linkin Park. I love Linkin Park. is that a good explanation. also because the part at the very end where he ends with "holding on to what I haveN'T GOOOOOOAAWWTTTTT" makes me go insane everytime.
"Hero" by Chad Kroeger (feat. Josey Scott). spider-man song detected! even though I haven't actually watched Tobey Maguire's spider-man yet.
"Backwards" by Alexander Stewart. recent discovery — I hadn't heard of him until a couple of weeks ago — but his songs are quite a vibe while studying.
"Closer" by Halsey and the Chainsmokers. I didn't write "the Chainsmokers (feat. Halsey)" because I think that Halsey's part is the only thing that redeems the whole song. sorry I have nothing to say for myself except that I was reliving a bit of primary school nostalgia and got carried away 😔
"Mon Kyamoner Jonmodin" by Mekhla Dasgupta. one of my favourite Bangla songs. the lyrics are beautiful but make very little sense out of context of the actual film it's from; it's the ethereal and hopelessly romantic tone of the song that keeps me coming back.
"lowercase" by Landon Conrath. another recent discovery!! again, the lyrics make little sense but it's a bop.
"Hudum Deo", a folk song, Spotify version by Ishaan and Lakkhi Di. very fascinating because it's from the Rajbongshi culture, from the north of my state, which rarely gets any media exposure. also like all folk songs, uses regional dialect which I find very interesting :)
"Fallin' For You" by Colbie Caillat. unfortunately I have not fallen for anyone yet so I listen to this as a, like, drug substitute
"Smooth" by Santana (feat. Rob Thomas). SEX SONG SEX SONG SEXIEST SONG I'VE EVER HEARD
@fawad-khan @rainbowsnowflake @starcloud-nova @starburns @fridayiminlcve 👀?
