Hi, Anon. i can't say i relate to everything you've mentioned, but i can say, if you feel it is necessary for you to receive an exam or STI testing prior to sex, despite being a virgin - yes, it is recommended to see a gynecologist for it. But if you have a trusted female primary care physician, most PCPs do perform basic gyno exams and STI testing. i realize this does not dissolve your trauma-related anxieties about being physically touched, but i can say for myself that i didn't actually realize for the longest time that my own PCP could perform those basic exams for me, and i thought i HAD to go see a new doctor for that sole purpose. i would still recommend any woman seek a trustworthy gynecologist regardless of sexuality, but i hope you, Anon, can find the care you're seeking in a primary doctor you already trust, or a female doc that is well-reviewed if you don't already have a female primary care doc.

Please be wary of those who have ‘gender critical’ in their bios…it’s basically a title to call themselves a terf/radfem without actually using those terms!
