Insert witty title here [ Ward and Emma
There were plenty of things Emma had wanted to do the moment she’d been brought back. Lay in a stuffy room, alone, with machines beeping, and somewhat out of sorts and broken telepathy were not on the lists. But there she was, handcuffed to a bed, agents outside like she was going some common criminal. She’d asked several times to see Catseye. To have anyone tell her what had happened after she’d…She couldn’t even think of the event.
At the sound of the voice, Emma swiped any stray tears and narrowed her gaze at him. He was the last person besides Miss Grey and Selene she wanted to see.
“You can kindly go to hell and leave. “ She stated just as sickly sweet as ever, only this time, there was hoarseness to her voice. A tiredness that gave far too much of her state away.
“Hah. Hell. Where Christian and Felicia are gonna go if you don’t keep your lowly, pathetic trap shut.” Ward sat down, already over the shock of seeing her alive again. “Do you know how disappointed I was when I heard of your death? I went into panic mode for nothing! But now you’re here. Alive and well. I’d be sad if it didn’t mean I could torture you.” He laughed, a friendly laugh. As if he were speaking about football, not about the life of other people.
“I don’t think you know how easy it is to gather information when you have a few... friends on your side. It took three hours. Three. To find out about the disgrace to the frost name. I can’t believe you care for such a pitiful creature. Another 10 minutes and I knew exactly were he was holed up. I payed off a couple nurses, and now, they have my heart beat on standby. I die, he gets tortured until his pathetic heart gives out. And before you think of snooping through my head, no, I don’t know who they are. I made sure of that.”
“Felicia was easier. Just a couple shield agents monitering her every move. No big deal. Really, for such a cold hearted woman, you let alot of people into your life. Really should stop that.”
