it feels terribly desperate to be this age and begging for friends. but im alone. ive got a friend to too busy, a friend who's got friends they'd prefer, and a girlfriend who i love dearly, but she's on a different schedule.

i work a retail job, and im currently in school for a business degree, so i guess im really just asking for people comfortable enough to sit in silence on like.. discord or something. im busy often, but busy on my computer for four hours a day.

and like, i suppose this is more of a call for connection. i do struggle with talking to people, and especially struggle with keeping up communication. so maybe this is a null in point ask and post.

but i like the idea of eddie munson, held back multiple times because no matter how much he tries to make it make sense, it never did. until one day, he comes across someone who's able to make it at click for him and suddenly he wants to be that person for others.

he becomes a teacher in the subject he hated the most because he finally gets it and knows that most people struggle in the same subject. he helps kids who had the same struggles as him, mental and societal wise, and helps them try to understand. and even if it doesn't click for some of them, they're able to get a basic understanding and don't give up on the subject all together. he becomes the teacher that most students go for help, even when they've entered later grades, they go to eddie because he understood them on a different level and was able to help them.

they all love each other just as much, obviously. they say it multiple times throughout the book, and while you could argue that its just admiration they have for him being the leader, etc., its a book that very obviously is about growing up, experiencing awakenings and traumabonding in the most literal sense of the word.
