I recently saw project hail mary in theaters (it was so good and compelling that it makes me want to read the book next for more context) and I swear to god 50% of the tag for it on here is regular art/fics/posts/etc. and the other 50% of the posts are all about shipping Grace with Simon from iron lung and I just cannot stand it anymore I gotta complain about it so here we go:

Ok yeah it's harmless and all to have a crossover ship be popular in fandom ok ok yadda yadda, but I found it incredibly refreshing to have a movie (talking about project hail mary here) that didn't have a single romance plotline, like thank god for the power of friendship in phm it's seriously so emotionally moving and important to me

But onto the second point, if you're gonna ship someone with Grace (I personally don't really bc I hc him as aroace but hey that's just my hc) it literally should be Rocky (or Grace/Rocky/Adrian polycule ideally)

Like it's so obvious what's going on here, some of the people on here are such COWARDS for not finding Rocky appealing or cute as a partner for Grace bc of how inhuman he is so they decided to just latch onto Simon for their conventionally attractive m/m ship of the moment and idk it just really pisses me off
