I took a little bit of creative liberty in terms of the order of events and Saint-Just's unpronounced last speech. Anyways, Thermidor is upon us again...

this is my spring piece. this particular image was created out of my need for escapism. an intention has taken shape in my life - one that, overpowering my rational mind, drives me to retreat from social distress into drawing, or any other form of creativity. and so, this spring, at the very height of the exam session, i drew around thirty pictures related to the frev. u will probably ask: why didn't i choose a less intense time for my hobby? the fact is that at university, i have conflicts with a certain number of r*ssian students who passively-aggressively hint at my ukrainian, privileged status. even though my first attempt at emigration was undertaken well before the well-known event. i am a socially inert and non-confrontational person. but their words deeply wounded me this spring and even caused an aggravation of my emotional state. perhaps, with this work, i wanted to show back then what it is like to feel the pain that society can inflict upon us. and, of course, credit must be given to my nostalgia for the golden era of deviantart.
