and when sydney finds out about the stars we see her walls go up fast and the panic/dread start to set in. but sydney wasn’t alone (you’re not alone, syd). she turns to carmy and seeks him out and runs into his arms and allows her walls to come down enough to cry/laugh with him. she got to share her anxiety and success with him.
his devotion to her was always there even when his mind was a mess or when he physically wasn’t there. and she let herself accept that devotion.
