other ppl’s success and happiness is not a direct attack on me
other people’s success and happiness is not a direct attack on me and it is unfair and unhelpful to everyone for me to make comparisons
(this is..........particularly difficult to remember while watching everyone in my social circle getting into new relationships, getting full-time jobs, graduating from uni, travelling overseas for months on end, getting engaged... but that’s them! good for them! i don’t have to be doing the same/similar things at the same/similar time! my progress, my values, my achievements, my attitude, my life is mine and it’s not going to perfectly mirror anyone else’s. and that’s okay. and i need to be okay with that)
