âI am Sarah Ditum the feminist. I do not hate Gail Dines, so I was a little taken aback to see this statement on a comment thread. I knew where it had come from, however: four years ago, Dines and I took part in a debate titled âIs Porn Hijacking Our Sexuality?â Dines, a veteran anti-porn feminist, argued for yes, and I put the case for no. In the end, I got the impression that weâd both slightly wrong-footed each other: I didnât use the insinuations of sexlessness and prudery sheâd anticipated, and her argument contained all the economic and ethical subtlety Iâd foolishly assumed it would lack. The debate dragged out for over a year, then collapsed unsatisfyingly, and I wrote a grumpy blogpost about it which led lots of people (most of them, it has to be said, men) to declare me the winner. I didnât feel exactly like a winner, however. I knew that there were parts of the argument Iâd fudged, especially (and shamefully) around the racism and sexism that are embedded in the grammar of pornography. I began to suspect that it was futile to criticise Dinesâ use of cohort studies to demonstrate connections between porn use and misogynist attitudes â repeating over and over that there is no control group of men not exposed to the insistent chauvinism of pornography is, ultimately, not very convincing or reassuring. Though it seemed callow to admit it, Iâd seen things in my research that shocked and upset me â real penetration of real women causing real pain. And there was one more thing, which happened more gradually: I heard from friends about the boyfriend who wanted to choke them, or the one who slapped them about in bed, or pressured them to do anal, or wanted to film it all. The pornographic vocabulary of sex as the violent debasement of the female body had seeped out from screens and into the lives of the women I knew.â

women in sports cant catch a break. they said they would be more comfortable if they wore shorts because bikinis made them uncomfortable especially when we are menstruating and they were threatened with disqualification.
the governing body basically turned a deaf ear to these valid concerns because treating women like people and not sex objects would ruin their ratings.
people insist that women in developed countries have more rights than men when they can't even play sports without sacrificing their dignity and men play fully dressed without a care in the world
the men being fully clothed and women being practically naked while smiling so brilliantly at the camera like everything is normal is not a psychop I promise
As an athlete who has trained your whole life to reach the top of your field, how could you not be demoralized by this?
Also, there is research that shows that girls perform worse on academic tests when wearing bikinis because they're distracted. How much do you think these women's ability to play is hindered by having to constantly think about keeping these tiny strips of fabric in place as they attempt to do their work as professional fucking athletes? Literally give them the same outfits as the men and let's be fucking done with this discussion, it's literally nothing but misogyny
It's probably the closest they'll ever come to admitting the only reason men tolerate women's sports at all is because the "uniforms" are so small they're basically non-existent and they can freely sexualize them with maximum convenience
A controversial ad supporting the Chinese governmentâs latest population policy has been blasted as sexist and for failing to address the challenges women face raising children.
The ad campaign carried messages from only men, but was aimed at women
Many felt the ad did nothing to address the challenges women face in having children

A Fatherâs Day advertisement in China encouraging people to take advantage of the three-child policy is facing a public backlash, with critics saying the video only interviewed men and offered no substantial support for women.
The video, by short video platform HaoKan Video which is owned by search company Baidu, was released last week to celebrate Fatherâs Day, which was on Sunday. It had circulated on Chinese social media over the weekend and was widely criticised.
The ad interviewed eight fathers who showed overwhelming support for the three-child policy, which was released at the end of last month by the central government, as a way for the government to combat an ageing society and declining population.
The policy has been met with national resistance, as many young people, faced with high pressure, housing prices and insufficient social benefits are unwilling to have children.
Fathers in the video listed their reasons for supporting having a third child, addressing some of the concerns raised by the public earlier, when the policy first came out.
The absence of women in the ad campaign attracted criticism.Â
On the issue that education in China has become so âinvolutedâ, meaning that resources have become so strained and the public is caught in meaningless competition, the first father in the ad said âAs long as we insist on not being involuted, then nothing can make usâ.
Other fathers suggested that the women should exercise and eat nutritious food to have a healthy baby, even if they might be getting older; and that some women could also use having a third child as an opportunity to change careers.
The video was met with overwhelming criticism that it addressed none of the womenâs concerns about having another child.
âWhen men are able to have babies, then you can start talking about having a third child,â one said on Weibo. âYou donât understand how difficult this is for women.â
âAll the questions raised in the video were realistic ones, but none of the answers were practical,â another said. âThereâs no good solution to these issues. Having a third child will lead to immense pressure on the motherâs mental and physical health.â
Baidu did not respond to an interview request from the South China Morning Post.
However, some showed support for the advertisement, including Yang Yexin, CEO of advertising company TianYuKong, which some alleged on Weibo is the company that produced the ad. TianYuKong did not respond to an interview request from the Post.
Yang said on Weibo that a healthy society should tolerate voices that support the three-child policy.
âSince the policy was released, thereâs only been voices against it online, nothing in support ⌠I think this ad is the bravest, most meaningful advertisement of 2021,â he said.
Yang was met with backlash too, as commenters asked him what his company has done to support women to have a third child, such as providing benefits or providing suitable job opportunities.

According to P Sainath, we do not have women farmer suicides because we do not consider them farmers in the first hand. They are pushed in the column of housewives.
According to journalist-cum-agriculture expert P Sainath, a significant number of women farmer suicides are excluded from the data due to one simple fact â women arenât considered as farmers they are pushed in the column of housewives. In his speech at the XVI National Conference of Indian Association for Womenâs Studies (IAWS), he also said that climate change is specifically going to affect the women more.
Key Takeaways:
Women farmers are often considered as widows of male farmers and hence not given the title of a farmer. âWidowâ of male farmers becomes their main role, despite the fact that even before their husbandâs death, they did 60 percent of the work on the farm.
Even in the NCRB data, the number of suicides committed by women farmers is the only area which shows zero incidences in many places.
According to P Sainath, we do not have women farmer suicides because we do not consider them farmers in the first hand. They are pushed in the column of housewives.
The agrarian crisis not only affects the male farmers but has a double effect on the women farmers. Not only on the farm but even when it comes to domestic needs, it is women who suffer ultimately.
The Lack Of Identity Of Women As Farmers
Tens of thousands of women farmers get excluded from the data everywhere and this is because we donât consider them as farmers. Kota Neelima, author, and researcher who specializes in rural distress says, â There is a misconception that the farmer is always male in India. Women do not own land and, therefore, are not recognized as farmers by the government. In reality, women work in agricultural fields every hour of every day of their life. But even woman farmer suicides are rarely considered as âfarmer suicidesâ. This is mainly because the government endorses this bias in data about women farmers. The National Crimes Records Bureau categorizes suicides as per âfarmerâ, âcultivatorâ and âagricultural labourâ, and in all cases, lack of identity of women as farmers restricts the truth about their tragic deaths.â
How Does Agrarian Crisis Affect Women?
The agrarian crisis not only affects the male farmers but has a double effect on the women farmers. Not only on the farm but even when it comes to domestic needs, it is women who suffer ultimately. âAll distress, whether rural or urban, affects women worse than men. Agricultural distress has a ground-level impact on food and nutrition of women, education opportunities for girls, health and sanitation of households, and other such factors. For example, the worst-affected during drought are women, who must not only deal with irrigation for farmlands but also get drinking water for their households. Women farmersâ failing health is a testament to their lifelong struggles and social neglect,â adds Neelima.
âWomen farmersâ failing health is a testament to their lifelong struggles and social neglect.â
The Unpaid Work Done By Women On Farm
âMy research in different states of India shows that rural women work up to 17-18 hours a day â of which, about half is spent in unpaid work. The socio-cultural structures force women to take up various unpaid work â domestic work, health care work, household farming duties, and working of family farmlands. Such work is often seen as the âresponsibilityâ of the women, and, therefore, they are never paid. Along with disparity in wages â widely practised in farm labour â the unpaid work done by women is a serious form of exploitation. At present, there is a denial by governments and society of the exploitation of womenâs unpaid or underpaid work. For any justice to happen, the first step is the acceptance that women have a right over their work and their time, and must be compensated fairly,â adds Neelima.
I think there is no better testament to societyâs hatred for women than Bianca Devinâs still existing Instagram page, and the comments it still gets daily over a year after her death.
âď¸severe tw for the content ahead âď¸
Bianca Devins was murdered on July 14, 2019, by Brandon Andrew Clark, who is currently serving a sentence of 25 years to life. His motive for the crime is one we have witnessed way too much as women: Brandon couldnât take no for an answer. Bianca had recently rejected his requests for a committed relationship and made herself available to a different man.
Iâd like to note here that during the time of her death, Bianca was underage, only 17 years-old, and this man was a grown adult whoâd been involved with her ever since she was much younger. He met her as a child and attacked her while she was still one.
After taking her life, Brandon posted pictures of her nearly decapitated body on Discord, Instagram and 4chan. He then tried, and failed, to kill himself. Those pictures have since been passed around and shared all over the Internet.
This is only a brief summary of the story, as there is plenty more. Still, I advise against any of you googling about this and risking stumbling across pictures or her body, since theyâre still widely available all throughout the internet and super, super easy to come across. Do not underestimate this warning. Hereâs a few articles and videos if youâre interested, all from safe sources: x, x, x, x, x, x
Plenty of controversy and rumors surround her death, but I donât care for any of them. I wonât list them all here, but itâs baffling how willing the Internet was, and still is, to blame this child for her own murder. For example thereâs plenty of talk about her selling her own nudes online - which are essentially child pornography, and the men who bought it are pedophiles, but no one seems to bring that part up. People will say she led Brandon on and toyed with him, and honestly, who cares if she did? He shouldâve moved on and acted like the adult man he was supposed to be, instead of growing increasingly obsessed with this young girl.
Itâs clear this was a femicide and that itâs mysogyny, plain and simple, that surrounds this case. He killed Bianca because she wouldnât be in a committed relationship with him. Like so many men had done before him, like so many men have done ever since, he decided he was entitled to take her life because of being rejected. He was jealous, and he was angry, and he deserves no sympathy. And heâs not the only one.
These are only a few examples of what can be expected if you go on any of her remaining social media. This hate has started from the day she died and still goes on to this day, every single day. Itâs absolutely vile, and if any of you have ever wondered just how much men can hate women, if any of you have ever wondered why they kill, assault, harass us - these comments should tell you something. This isnât limited to Instagram either, since Biancaâs death has been talked about all over 4chan as well, and you can only imagine the kind of thing that is said about it there.
I am posting this not only to show women the realities of mysoginistic hatred and violence, but because I feel like Instagram should at least disable the comments on her still existing profiles. I think every girl and woman should be aware of this kind of thing. The men who make comments like this donât deserve their anonymity, but instead exposure. Her family is present online, they see this. Her sister is literally still on Instagram. And I donât know what can be done to help it, or if any of them are able to disable the comments themselves. So, here we are. I am sad and disgusted at the things I have read. Make no mistake, this is only a small sample of what is out there.
Iâd like to end this post with a statement Bianca Devinâs family has put out about her passing. This case has been with me ever since it happened and I think she deserved so much more, just like every other young girl who has been taken from us because of rotten individuals like Brandon. Rest in peace, Bianca. This world has failed you tremendously.
âBianca, age 17, was a talented artist, a loving sister, daughter, and cousin, and a wonderful young girl, taken from us all too soon. She is now looking down at us, as she joins her cat, Belle, in heaven. Biancaâs smile brightened our lives. She will always be remembered as our Princess.â

If women can't name a threat, they can't guard against it. By Genevieve Gluck
In 2018, Me Too campaigner Rose McGowan was at a Barnes and Noble bookshop in New York promoting her memoir Brave, which details the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. During a question and answer session, as Rose was discussing her grief and recovery, a trans-identified male heckled her from the crowd, saying, âWe get raped more often. We go through domestic violence more often. Trans women are in menâs prisons, and what have you done for them?â
The viral video depicts a trans-identifying male with hair dyed pink, wearing a pale pink hoodie, standing among a crowd of seated patrons â who observe stoically â yelling, âThis is genocide! This is the AIDs crisis all over again! This is white cis feminism!â an outburst prompted by an interview with RuPaul in 2017 wherein McGowan said that trans-identified males experience life differently from women. The heckler is peacefully removed while chanting, âWhite cis feminism!â in an apparent attempt to rouse the audience. For their part, the men in the crowd stare at the interloper in shocked silence, and several women laugh.
After the removal of the heckler, urged on by supportive cheers, McGowan rises and shouts, âI do not subscribe to your language!â and proceeds to condemn the use of demeaning labels. A woman in the crowd responds, âWeâre so grateful,â and a man offers, âWe love you.â These moments of consolation would later be edited out of most of the video clips uploaded to social media and thereby scrubbed from public consciousness.
Rather than taking her side, the version of events put forward by the media was that McGowan launched into a transphobic tirade. In particular, the US Womenâs March organization denounced her within the day. Womenâs March stated that âdenying trans womenâs identities is never okay,â in a tweet that also linked to trans activist Katelyn Burnsâ interview with the agitator, a trans-identified male named Andi Dier. Dier claimed that those who identify as trans women are more oppressed than women, saying âWhen someone pulls down her pants and sees a v-gina, she wonât be murdered for it. That is not something she fears. Thatâs why sheâs cis.â The headline for the interview, âRose McGowan Broke Down in a Transphobic Rageâ, intentionally depicted McGowan as hysterical.
The bookshop audienceâs instinctive support for McGowan gave way to a long line of commentators condemning McGowan and offering support for Andi Dier. The headline of an article for Slate read, âRose McGowanâs Anti-Trans Bias Weakens Her Feminism,â and several other major media outlets joined in, including The Independent and Variety. As a result of the corresponding backlash, McGowan cancelled the rest of her book tour, stating that âevery person sitting frozen in their chairsâ had âa weakness called complicity.â In a video published by PinkNews the following year, McGowan issued an apology, stating: âI didnât have the correct language⌠had I said âcis womenâ⌠now I understand that thatâs what I should have said.â
Yet even amid the furore over McGowanâs supposed bigotry, allegations that Dier had preyed on girls quickly surfaced on social media. âAndi Dier personally sexually assaulted me and two of my friends when we were 13 years old,â read one of the claims. A disturbing amount of testimonies were posted to Twitter, with at least one dating back to 2013. So many similar claims of child sexual abuse had been made that someone took it upon themselves to create a YouTube video documenting them.
Seeing the allegations of sexual abuse pile up against Dier, I decided to do some research of my own. That weekend, I discovered damning evidence from Andi Dierâs AskFM blog, which I screen-capped and shared on Facebook. Dier deleted the blog the following day. The format of AskFM is in the style of a Q&A and several entries in Dierâs blog were responses to questions regarding sexual abuse, in which Dier admits to relationships with âyounger girlsâ and claims that statutory rape should not be a crime. Dierâs own words paint a portrait of an openly pedophilic rationale.
Q: True or false: you have been sexually involved with people of a certain age, who if the authorities were notified you would be facing jail time
A: If I had a lawyer Iâd assume theyâd tell me not to answer this. You can make your own assumptions.
Q: why do u like younger girls
A: I like younger girls in the same way I like brunettes. I just donât give a sh-t. Age is an insignificant marker. I like cute girls, sometimes they happen to be a bit young. Sh-t happens.
Q: I feel like thats f-cked up of you to say that because a person thinks its wrong for you to get with minors that their morals are flawed. It seems like your morals are flawed honestly
A: Itâs f-cked up for someone to tell me I donât deserve my freedoms because they feel uncomfortable⌠Weâre sending so many college kids to jail for being with someone a few years younger. These arenât predators. And you donât mystically wake up one day with the ability to consent. You have it before youâre 18. Weâre stripping a populous of their lives. Weâre kidnapping them. And many times theyâll be raped â really raped.â
Here, Dier is claiming that minors can consent to sexual relationships with adults â that statutory rape is not ârealâ rape â and comparing the incarceration of paedophiles to kidnapping. All this while implying that these paedophiles will be sexually abused in prison and therefore are innocent victims of an unjust law.
So the evidence mounted, alongside a maddening insistence on respecting Dierâs pronouns and comments telling âTERFsâ to âchokeâ. But in time, Andi Dier faded from social media and public awareness, while the stain on McGowanâs reputation remained.
Those who sound the alarm about the ways in which gender ideology is used to excuse or cloak predatory behaviour are often met with accusations of bigotry. They may be fired from their jobs, subjected to sustained bullying and harassment, or otherwise censored in various ways, including permanent suspensions from social media by the very same platforms where the ideology is peddled by those with questionable motives.
In December 2020, while researching the influence of pornography on gender ideology, I noticed that Dier had reappeared on Reddit and Twitter, advertising homemade âsissyâ pornography. Over the course of the past few months, Dier has been active in several subreddits, including both the r/rapefantasies and r/rape forums; the former focuses on rape-themed pornography, and the latter is a support group for victims. Even as Dier advertised in one forum by saying, âtrans lesbian rapemeat needs to be f*cked straight,â he was simultaneously commenting in a support group for rape survivors.
In one case, Dier told a victim that âyou canât compare [rape] to not wanting to do something and âgoing along with it,ââ while within the same month posting in r/rapefantasies about wanting to be assaulted in the back of a van. In a classified ad posted to a meet-up forum, Dier says, âIt hit me that Iâm nearly 30 and would love to live out my lesbian cougar fantesies [sic] with a young teen. Iâm a pre-op trans girl.â Strip away the obfuscating language, and this is an adult man nearing his thirties advertising to create pornography with a teenage girl.
Last month, in a subreddit called r/TeenAmIUgly, where predominantly teenage girls post selfies and ask to be rated on their appearance, Dier rated a 14 year-old girl a 9.5 out of 10. The image was deleted, and a pinned message from a moderator warns of âan influx of concern about creepy PMsâ. In a subreddit called r/HypnoHookup, Dier offered to go over to the house of someone claiming to be an 18 year-old high school student. In r/AgeGapNSFW Dier commented, âcanât wait to have a teen cutie.â In March of this year, Dier retweeted child sexual exploitation content, including several images of pre-pubescent girls with highly sexualized captions, and one video involving what appears to be a child and an adult. (Not comfortable with simply reporting the accounts to Twitter, I have filed a formal complaint to a child sexual exploitation organization.)
Among accounts retweeted by Dier include âleggyteenfilmsâ, which states in their bio âI love porn and chatting about teens,â and that the account was previously suspended. (Consider that a person may be permanently banned from Twitter for referring to a male with sex-based pronouns, but child sexual abuse accounts continue to reappear.) Other names of accounts shared by Dier are âteenobsessedâ which has posted images of girls as young as 14 years old. Dier is also âlikingâ selfies posted by accounts claiming to belong to teenage girls, as well as following accounts that claim to belong to minors, some of which state their age as 13 years old. Â There are also profiles with âMAPâ in their bios; âMAPâ or âminor-attracted personâ is a euphemism for âpaedophileâ.
Andi Dier is not an exception to the rule. Â It is imperative that this issue is understood as systemic, rather than being limited to merely a few instances; pornography is deeply entrenched at the centre of gender ideologyâs view of womanhood. Recently, Reddit moderators staged a large-scale protest against the siteâs employment of a trans-identified male, Aimee Challenor (nĂŠe Ashton), with connections to known paedophiles. Transgender activist Dana Rivers (nĂŠe David Warfield), who was responsible for organizing the protests that led to the cancellation of women-only, lesbian-centered Michfest, is currently in jail awaiting trial for the murder of a lesbian couple and their adopted son.
Many other, less visible instances of sexual abuse and predatory behaviour by those protected under the umbrella of âgender identityâ go unnoticed or linguistically and statistically erased altogether. Hundreds of such instances are documented on the sites Women Are Human and Transgender Crime UK, both of which are run independently by those concerned about the erosion of boundaries and safeguarding policies under currently fashionable gender identity ideology. On these sites, you will find cases that are not widely known or reported.
To consider Andi Dier an outlier is to ignore a disturbing trend involving the normalization of dangerous sexual paraphilias and the degree to which institutions have been more concerned with protecting their public image than with defending women and children from male violence. Indeed, women are being banned from social media platforms for calling attention to male sexual abuse as well as for questioning the increasing trend of forced inclusion of male-bodied people in womenâs spaces.
Rose McGowan was responsible for bringing to light systemic sexual abuse in Hollywood, and in particular for emboldening victims of film producer Harvey Weinstein. Despite this, she was publicly shamed for defending herself against verbal harassment, her book tour was cancelled, and worst of all, a man with a rape fetish who is clearly engaging in predatory behaviour was defended by a major womenâs organisation ahead of her. A reversal achieved simply through gender ideology, which grants any male who claims a female identity the authority to speak over women.
The manipulation of language at the core of gender ideology is essential to its capacity for silencing victims. It is impossible to defend womenâs rights if we cannot define women. It is impossible to fight against sexism if we cannot say that sex is real. We certainly cannot protect children from male sexual abusers if we are too afraid of appearing cruel to predators to name them as the men they are.
As for Rose McGowan. She provided two lessons as to the systemic nature of male power.
She was silenced by an abusive, predatory man and his enablers in the media. They said, âit must never happen againâ.
Why donât men sell sex? Why donât men strip? Why donât men rip their hair out and walk on tiptoe? Why donât men expect sex to hurt or make them bleed? Why donât men like to be spat on or slapped or strangled or receive âconsensual non-consentâ? Why donât men get exchanged for cattle or goats? Why donât men smother themselves head to toe in layers of opaque fabric in hot countries? Why donât men become financially dependent on women? Why do men not want to feel empowered?
as per every single time a woman doesnât coddle them they immediately jump to calling her ugly and unfuckable along with every misogynistic slur they can
Hilarious that this happened on TDOV. This is exactly what this dumpster fire of a community stands for: misogyny (+homophobia, racism). They wanna be visible, make em visible
Isn't this what she stood up for a few months ago? I'm never happy to see undeserved harassment but she stood with them đ ofc their respect is conditional ofc they're misogynistic freaks
She was 100% on their side and dog piled on JK Rowling with them too. I really genuinely hate this, but itâs awfully ironic and I hope it opens her eyes and other womenâs as well.
Thereâs literally nothing else they can excuse this insane behavior away with like ginas circumstances, itâs very apparent exactly what theyâre mad about and exactly how small and insignificant a thing it is that theyâre losing their minds over
if someone saying lesbians deserve safe spaces and that lesbians are exclusively attracted to women makes you âfreeze in fearâ then consider the fact that youâre a raging homophobe and you need to get the fuck away from lesbians
Actually in the United States it was a lesbian who challenged the United States government when she was going to be hit with over $300,000 in estate taxes after she was widowed, something that wouldnât have happened if her marriage was federally recognized. Which gave the supreme court no choice but to rule the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) that was established in 1993 banning federal recognition of same sex marriage to be unconstitutional.Â
Her name is Edith Windsor.Â
But sure, you can just have your tumblr revisionist history of Stonewall where Martha P. Johnson wasnât a gay male tranvestite/drag queen, somehow was the only person who mattered out of the hundreds of people involved in the uprising, and imply that gay people did nothing to fight for their own rights in the following 46 years.Â
And pretend the AIDS crisis never happened and how that brought to light the gross inequality of gays in the US.
And pretend that Matthew Shepardâs murder never happened and didnât launch the gay rights movement into the modern incarnation that eventually lead to marriage equality.Â
Because US liberals have finally found a way to hate gays now while convincing themselves theyâre still progressive, and thatâs all that matters.Â
Is tumblr so obsessed with Stonewall because itâs easier to rewrite the history of one event than decades of political organizing and legal battles? Just going to leave this here in case OP or anyone else who bought into the myths wants to learn about the real history of Stonewall and the political organizing that was done in response to it.
Tumblr first became obsessed with stonewall when the trailer for Stonewall (2015) came out and, already piling onto the cis white gay hate train, the site collectively threw a fit that the main character was âŚa cis white gay. He was shown throwing a brick in the trailer, so people on tumblr started to say things like âMarsha Johnson threw the first brick!â in an attempt to âcorrectâ what they saw as a âwhitewashedâ narrative. In reality, Marsha Johnson did not arrive at stonewall until after the riots had been going a couple hours, and most of the historical pictures we have from the event do, in fact, predominantly show young, white gay men such as the one featured in the 2015 film.
This video also breaks down the modern stonewall myths pretty well (with the exception of still referring to Johnson as a trans woman instead of the gay transvestite he claimed to be).
Oh, THANK GOD, some people remember! Sometimes I feel like Iâm going crazy because I watched in real the conversation shift so drastically all because of that stupid Stonewall movie and hardly anybody seems to remember that happening!
It sounds ridiculous when I talk about that movie/the trailer being the catalyst of a lot of the new mantras of the movement, but itâs true! I saw it happen in real time!

Gender-motivated hate crimes make up only a tiny percentage of the hate crimes recorded by the F.B.I. â 0.7 percent in 2018, the most recent year listed on the agencyâs website, compared to 57.5 percent deemed to have been motivated by racial bias that year.
But increasingly, organizations that study and track hate groups and violence have warned of a phenomenon called âmale supremacy terrorism,â driven by aggrieved male entitlement and a desire to preserve traditional gender roles.
and the reason we donât see accurate data on anti-female hate crimes is that the FBIâs hate crime reporting handbook provides this guidance on reporting hate crimes to the FBI:
Once the development of this collection was complete, the FBI UCR Program surveyed state UCR Program managers on hate crime collection procedures used at various law enforcement agencies which collected hate crime data employing a two-tier decision-making process. The first level is the law enforcement officer who initially responds to the alleged hate crime incident, i.e., the âresponding officerâ (or âfirst-level judgment officerâ). It is the responsibility of the responding officer to determine whether there is any indication that the offender was motivated by bias. If a bias indicator is identified, the officer designates the incident as a âsuspected bias-motivated crimeâ and forwards the case file to a âsecond-level judgment officer/unit.â (In smaller agencies this is usually a person specially trained in hate crime matters, while in larger agencies it may be a special unit.)
It is the task of the second-level judgment officer/unit to review the facts of the incident and make the final determination of whether a hate crime has actually occurred. If so, the incident is to be reported to the FBI UCR Program as a bias-motivated crime.
so it might behoove us to make it a practice to never talk about police violence without talking about misogyny
