I love it when Conclave said oh so the church is able to break with tradition when it comes to iphones, vapes, rolling suitcases, and steel-fortified window coverings, but not when it comes to feminism, pluralism, and the nuances of sex and gender. How interesting. Anyway, here is a remarkably sad old man.
like what do you mean a vaping cardinal is okay but womens rights is where we draw the line
That scene where Aldo mentioned he supports women having a bigger role in the church and the other cardinals literally gasped ???
Wait, it gets even more ridiculous because the next line after this was "Don't mention women!"
Activists say female genital mutilation is still common in Africa - but a study finds it is falling.
There’s been a massive fall in FGM rates across the African continent for girls under 14.
The figures are all taken roughly 20 years apart, in the mid 90s and then in the late 2010s. The rate in Western African has gone from 74% to 25%, in Northern Africa it’s gone from 60% to 14%.
Across the continent the overall rate has gone from 71% to 8%.
This is just huge. I’m finding it difficult to wrap my head around the scale of it, the number of children those percentages represent. It feels like such a huge shift. It’s millions of girls growing up safer and healthier.
And the researchers are saying their mothers are the driving force.
For all African girls
wait this is so cool and interesting

OSA means opposite sex attracted which means it can also include bisexuals. it really is a chronically online term lol
Yes that too. I always forget bisexuals exist because I'm one and I don't have any sex
what's "osa" women mean?
This ask made me google osa and i found out that its one of those chronically online terminologies tumblr likes to throw around like it means anything in the real world.
Sooo adhd... what's that all about?
I actively enjoy ending things :)
“Corrective rape happens to lesbians but when it happens to osa women who refuse men, it's just called rape. Now why would you think it's different because it's called something different? From the male perspective he is forcing himself on someone who would never sleep with him.”
Because they think everything that happens to them is worse by default. I have legitimately seen lesbians on here argue that it’s worse when a lesbian gets raped by a man than when a straight woman gets raped cause “at least the straight woman is capable of being attracted to men”. Like??? You think she was attracted to her rapist? You think she was any less repulsed or traumatised than you just because she’s straight? What a heinous thing to say.
They’ll recognise that “it’s worse to rape some kinds of women than others” is a horrible horrible untrue, misogynistic thing to say… unless you are talking about lesbians and straight women.
I hope they heal. I'm trying to move past the rape and molestation that happened in my childhood and it's not easy so I'm not surprised that hurt people lash out in weird ways but I'm not the type to keep quiet when they're just wrong.
It was certainly nice being on radblr because it forced me to learn a lot but it became very obvious to me that few women here actually care about the female collective.

please don’t leave radblr :( the vast majority of us don’t participate in separatism or celibacy discourse.
I'm leaving. But I love you very much ❤️
if you acknowledge the benifits of seperatism for those who can do it, why shut down the idea? Not everyone is priveledged enough to be able to participate but if you can whats stopping them? men are a danger to everyone, and i'm sure you know that most violence towards women comes from those who know the women. Friends, boyfriends, husbands, aquaintences. Its not all of what radical feminism is good for, I agree, but seperatism is a viable way to spare some women and therefore I don't see why it shouldn't be considered and acknowledged. I'm also sure you know that a lot of the women on here argueing against seperatism are white and from the west. idk I can't believe you're thanking divinedionne when she's blatently lesphobic
.
Question: how can you call yourself a RADICAL feminist when anything a bit "too radical," like avoiding dating men, is some Western Privileged Thing? You could say the same about anything under radfem theory, that's why we encourage celibacy without getting disappointed when women don't follow through. Except the suggestion of celibacy is Western to you? Just like the genderists who claim the "Gender Binary" is racist. Think of a better excuse to want to date men without analysing the choice.
Unfortunately I didn't read past the first sentence. I do not identify as a radical feminist. I enjoy using the tags tho!
Thank you for being one of the few voices of reason
Being sane and normal is my speciality
You: "I'm celibate and advocate for separatism"
Them: "you have fun with your nigels"
Did they even read a word of what you wrote?
I call my index finger nigel 😵💫

Thank you so much for your post! I'm in hiding from this discourse because I don't think I'm articulated enough to debate nor do I have the energy but I do my best to show my support from the shadows <3
I love you. Thank you.
its privileged to want communities separate from men. so we should be cool with all those things u listed? what was the point of that post?
