wait omg who sent me this   . …   who sent me this   ….   this is so kind of you to send in passing !!   i've been struck with the vampire itchies again,   considering i've been struggling to write anything at all aside from anything to do with vampires.   don't even tempt me   …    i miss alucard so much some days.   :F

⋆ ☾*ೃ ` omg a compliment .    ᥫ᭡ .

sometimes,    a boy feels the urge to sit with his father,    covered in the guise of a small,    nosed bat.    it had been urgent instinct the moment he’d seen the vampire sat on the lounging couch with that book in his hand,    INSISTENT UPON HIS VERY INTRUSION INTO THE SITUATION.    a small thing now    ( something he has since sadly outgrown in his dhampir form ),    settled in the crook of his father’s elbow and warm in the dark fabrics as he,    comfortably,    reads along with him,    ever so often squeaking softly to let him know that he is finished with his page.    there is an invariable peace in this     one which eventually has him shutting his eyes and nestling right in for a small nap,    even if just for a moment.

a moment it is,    once he feels his father shift and press his lips to his head.    another squeak,    this time happy as he opens his eyes again.    he cannot return it the same,    but looks up just to tap his nose against his father's chin.    affectionate.

the weight of trevor's boots disturb him greatly,    and he shifts against it,    though he does not try to push them away.    there is a price to be paid,    FOR ALLOWING THOSE CLOSEST TO HIM TO CONSIDER HIM NOT IN A STATE OF CONSTANT THREATENED NERVES,    but instead in comfortable camaraderie.    leave it to trevor belmont,    of all people,    to test the very few nerves he has left,    after all that has happened,    after all that they have been through   ( admittedly,    it is a comfortable,    companionable atmosphere which he will actually confess aloud ).    he is not unhappy.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤbut that doesn't mean he won't actual like it.    with an almost over-the-top exasperated sigh,    the dhampir sets his hands on the boots,    fingers absentmindedly playing along sparce old laces.    nails pick at a small patch of mud clung about the edge of a strap.    he plucks it off,    watches as it crumbles into smaller pieces,    AND MAKES A SHOW OF TOSSING IT AT TREVOR'S FACE.    uncouth,    uncultured :    so rings the voice of a parent.    the corner of his lip twitches upward in a faint smile.    it does not touch his eyes.
